Guys save your hard earned money, that girl on here may actually be a guy!

Remember it's only a picture and not the real thing!

    HI

I think that's to be expected? There are many players who use women's avatars (including me) who use it for different reasons. That's why these are avatars and not real pictures, you can put anything you want there within the rules.

I think the poster is not necessarily restricting his comment about guys using a female avatar but more so about the ones that put up a female's photo that they have 'lifted' from the internet or from their own private collection and Pretend to be a female. They do this in the hope that they will get more female friends and games with female players whilst being  gifted clubs etc from male players.

There are many many profiles on here like that and it would be difficult for wgt to 'police' this type of fraudulent activity. I'm not sure if they are breaking any copyright laws by using the 'lifted' photo's but misrepresenting or impersonating another person is against the law in the UK.

Although it annoys me that guys would do this type of thing, one thought that crosses my mind that I find absolutely hilarious and that is : Do these guys think they are the only ones doing it? I picture two fat old guys sitting at their computers flirting with who they each believe is a female...... priceless sweetie!!!

Oh I completely understand. But, in the end, would an 'eye candy' for a picture make you gift clubs more? Or is it the hope that someone behind it looks like that?

I think it's a fine line for us to try to guess the reasons people gift. Obviously, we can take educated guesses or just plain guesses, but I chose to think that players can decide for themselves who to gift and why.

unfortunately Icon, I believe you are giving too much faith in people

people as a whole are just plain stupid and its not getting any better now and days - don't believe me?  just go around reading random forum posts (not just here, but anywhere), twitter and facebook status updates, etc.

I totally agree with you Icon about it's everyone's choice who to gift equipment to and their reasons why, I never gift to those who ask or hint for me to gift them. I prefer to gift to those on my friends list and primarily in my CC, especially the newer members who could do with a helping hand. Regarding the 'eye candy' pics... if it looks too good to be true then it generally is lol.

Oh Danny, that pic is very funny!!  Has 'she' got a sister? ;o)
