Enjoyed meeting Sean and we had a good game. Neither one of us came out of chute firing on all cyclinders. I had couple bogies on front 9 including a push on bethpage 7 which had me in deep rough.   Tried to punch out of trees and hit a trunk where my shot ricochetted straight back into my avatars balls who proceeded to double over in pain.  Had to concede that hole and get an ice pack. After that I went on 3 hole birdie streak to take a lead.

On  15  Sean had tap in birdie  to my poor approach shot and im looking at a 40 putt down the hill almost unmakeable putt.  I go for a full shot aim right and it hits a couple ft above pin and goes in for birdie to tie hole. (very similar shot to below replay)

On 16 we went par par and runwme ends up winning over bridge08

Early bath for me, had a great game with Don, going down on the 16th and losing 4down.

Both got off to a cold start, till Don birdie 4 on the bounce around the turn.

Missed a putt on the par 3 to reduce the arrears, then we get the highlight's reel shot from Dom on the 15th, his second is long, leaving a monster quick putt, down hill from 30+ ft, stick mine to 3ft, thinking could win one, then WOW "Chips in".

Thanks for the lesson from a true gent.

    Sean

     Just finished round 1 ... SgtDoodles wins it 5 & 3

I can't say that either if us was very sharp, but we played a pretty solid front 9. I just couldn't keep it up after we made the turn, and Tom just kept sticking them in a little closer and knocking down the putts that he needed.

GL in the next round, bud.

Just lost to Mohuyu 1up. Was a good match all the way through. I was 2up after 8 and with Mo missing the green and me putting my approach to 9ft i thought i had a good chance of extending my lead. Mo had other ideas tho and chipped in. With the pressure on i missed my putt to halve the hole and the gap was closed to 1. Mo never looked back after this and his putter went on a hot streak and soon found himself 2up. I did manage to close the gap on 17 to 1 and my approach to 1ft on 18 had me thinking i might just take it to extra holes. But Mo holed his birdie putt from 10ft on the last to win the match.

Well played Mo and all the best next round.

Was a very tight game that could've gone either way. Thanks for an enjoyable game Daz.
