Anyone ever peruse the master field to see just how many ranked rounds some master players have with an avg. of 60 or lower? I've seen some profiles with only 100 ranked rounds, and they didn't just join last week, or even last year.

I have 400 ranked rounds and couldn't hold a stick to a score of 59 or better (still practicing though).

From what I see it took the AvatarLee's, the tibbets', and the nivlac's years to accomplish that kind of scoring, and with a lot more than 100+ ranked rounds.

Are some of the other master golfers at WGT simply that good?

    agreed ... it's a possibility ...

then again Megan Fox and I doing the dirty dirty is also a possibility...........but unfortunately  not bloody likely.  :(

Yes they are.  There is a large handful of excellent players here.  And some others don't post all their rounds for various reasons and don't play all the courses in various different conditions.

My avg could be higher than it currently is if I played under heavy winds and BP more often.

Well Oak, you've proved my point. What constitutes a masters real ability? If we cherry pick rounds, have we played to our virtual potential? I would have an avg. of 57 too if that was the case.

Imagine shooting a 57 from the blue tees at Bethpage, in high wind, consecutively. That would show the talent of a true virtual golfing master at WGT. I'm not going to brag about being a master with a low avg. while I'm cherry picking rounds.

How do you play these tours from the whites?  I play and they put me at the back tees due to my master ranking.

The one thing that mystifies me is in order to shoot all those low scores as mentioned above is,being able to hit the sweet spot all the time. If someone has some advice on that subject please let me know. I use GI balls and still have trouble hitting the sweet spot.

Maybe us old dudes just don't have the reflexes and hand eye coordination. This is my biggest problem trying to get good at this game.

It is not just you. This game bears no resemblance to reality and putting just flat takes the fun out of playing WGT. I have no intention of spending the time or the money necessary to get better at this when I can go play real golf and do A LOT BETTER. I'm done.

My advice would be to develop a rhythm and that rhythm will help with your internal clock.  Speaking for myself, I don't hit the sweet spot all the time but don't miss by much either.  Thus practicing and taking practice swings will help develop the feel for the meter speed.

Secondly, practicing on CTTH challenges will also develop club specific yardages in given situations and conditions.  This is an invaluable aid, and the end result you will see your game improve.

Instead of accusing people of cheating, maybe you should practice a little more. Take the 16 players in WMPL for example. No cherry picking in the qualifiers there, you had to post five weeks straight, every weekly tournament that WGT had. Anyone of those players could and will shoot below 60 on a regular basis. None of which are cheaters thank you. WGA, ever look at the leaderboards there? Same thing, it takes below 90 over three rounds to win that, no cheaters there either.

Some are just that good, others will complain and accuse players of cheating for who knows what reason. Post a thousand rounds and see if you too don't post sub 60 rounds! I'd bet money you would, it takes time and a complete game. it's certainly not easy, but can be done consistantly!

Perhaps another way of looking at this would be ones own aspirations to play better.  And at times a little jealousy sits in because we know we can play better.  I've been addicted to golf since I was 8 years old.

Golf is one of those sports that we play against ourselves more than against others.  The ability to continually achieve great results and still improve at the same time is most golfers goals.

After seeing this post and reading all the response I feel as though it is time for the truth to come out. I personally have been wrapped up in this controversy too long and feel a moral obligation to tell you all the truth.

When Zippy-Pivot first started creating his sacred zippy dust, which is a special kind of dust that is made to tear your rounds apart he also made a few special bags of zippy dust. This dust was different. It does the opposite. In the year 1788 there was an auction and these special bags of dust came up for auction. They were sold off to various families and handed down from generation to generation. No one knew what the dust was for.

People tried smoking it, eating it, snorting it, etc,,,,, all of which had really bad consequences but that is a different story.

Until finally WGT was created and the dust made all of those who were in possession of it find this game! the game and dust bonded instantly. It was a thing of "magic" 53 here and a 53 there here a 53 there a 53 everywhere a 53. old mcdonald had a 53 e i e i o.

All those in possession of the dust are the ones shooting 53.

So now we wait patiently for the dust to be handed down or for zippy to make more

And there you have it folks. the truth has been told. I fear as though telling you all this i may have put my life at jeopardy.

Hope this all satisfies your curiosity
