Why can't I stop or draw a wedge shot on green?

I have Cleveland wedges, and Srixon balls. I put full draw and its a "ding" shot, If it lands about 8 yds from hole it travels about 2yds, If I hit the green 0-2yds from the hole, it's off to the races, 10-12yrds past. Using draw on most shots is non-existant. Any suggestions?

Draw and fade aren't available on WGT yet.

I'm talking about reverse spin on ball to stop or retard forward travel on green from a wedge shot to the green.

It depends on how hard you hit the shot, the longer the swing the more spin. If you swing at 50% or less there won't be much spin, if you swing at 100% there should be a lot of backspin.

To "draw" the shot is to have the ball curve from right to left (for a right handed player).

When I hit full backspin I get no reaction and it keeps rolling forward like I had no backspin

how much power did you have in your swing, if you are hitting less than 60% with those clubs you won't get very much backspin at all.  Just doesn't work that way on here unfortunately.  Try using the flop shot for up close work.

Take a look at the Z Satin 64 degree wedge, 200 credits 50 yard club that is killer, and you are level 83 so you should be able to get the Cleveland wedges that are available for higher levels, they will give you more spin than what you really want but not any of them will give you spin on shots that are less than 60% power.

you have good equipment, and decent balls. Cleveland Back spin is very powerful even the low level ones... don't know what can it be... may be you should e-mail WGT and ask if that is ok. you have a replay?

I use the same ball and my wedges are not that good but I don't have trouble with backspin. Try use only about 3/4 backspin see if that helps.

I have the top Cleveland wedges, never use Backspin unless a severe downhill slope ;)

depends on what course you are playing, St. Andies and others have severe downhill greens on 2nd or 3rd shot, use your putter to read green then use wedge accordingly
