I am as far away from knowing anything about computers as there is on this site. A perfect description was mentioned earlier choppy meter. When I go on I play a quick CTTH  game & most often do not finish it. If my meter is "choppy" I  shut down WGT & re open, 99% of the time it re opens smooth as silk. I have been on here for over a year & can honestly say I have been "metered" maybe 10 times. If you had asked me what a cache was a month ago it would when you went out in the yard with your ball gloves & played cache with your son.I have a mac with a 2.26 ghz processor, 4GB ram, on a Mac OS 10.5.8 at least that's what it says  LOL.  Question to all who are having trouble, why aren't I ????

Anyway, back to the original topic.   Sorry WGT, it is up to you to provide a robust gaming environment.  It should not be left to the m

embers to tweak their computer, unless you want to provide step by step guides.

The answer to that question would yield you a lifetime supply of your favorite golf balls from WGT.

From what I understand, every computer is different in many ways. From the level of hardware and software to how a user maintains their computer.

The meter fix for everyone equally would be like curing the world of the common cold in a way. Everyone would have to take the medicine at the same time, i.e., get the meter fix at the same time. There will always be a person looking for someone, or something to help them fix their meter from stuttering.

If WGT buries their head deep enough in the sand, I guess they think this meter issue will go away.

Every computer is different at the hardware and software level.  Player A could be using an Intel motherboard, player B,  Asus MB,  with different CPU pin configurations.  The number of combinations are endless.

As for CCleaner, I used it to clear the cache as well as clean the MFT tables.

I use CCcleaner once a week to keep my computer clean and I also use a RAM optimizer called RAMRush to keep my RAM at peak level

I think I will try the RamRush when I get home from work.

    I'd give this a read first. http://forum.notebookreview.com/windows-os-software/519399-has-anyone-used-ramrush.html

Give that some good thought. Your ram is the fastest thing in your machine. The software you are looking at flushes that "fastness" and writes it to your slow *** hard drive. Not even worth it, imho.

Also, please consider: Ramrush will eat it's own RAM just to run itself.

These programs really haven't been of much use in years.

    Just my 2c
