I ve been banging my head against the wall trying to hit this thing with some consistency.  Anyone have any ideas on the situation...  Please share.  It seems to be long then short i have no idea what distance its actually going to go...  Thanks.

With your balls it is $$ in the bank playing it for 115 yrds using full backspin.  If I need to go up to 120 yrds will use about 70% bs.

this club is very sensitive to spin and wind...even a 5mph wind has great effect,

with no wind no elevation...... normally 1/2 backspin will get me 120 yrds..if u ding it.

full backspin as what RUN SAYS ....will get 115yrd....

no spin no wind...lands on a tournament greens u get 125 yrd...

with full top spin can go 128 to 129...on tourny greens...

    :)

    Sorry I cant help Brew!

I want to take my PW burn it and throw it to the river... ocean or anything that can keept me from getting it back... lol... I dont like it, I can't use it... etc...

I prefer to shot the 135yrd iron with some drop or my 100yrd clev with full top spin

Some times I hit full back spin and it goes 125 other times it goes 102 with same conditions.... I know it can go anywhere between 102 and 125 lol so That marge for error is not good for me.

But I guess it is me... I had the same problem with the burner's PW... the only one I managed well was the g10 PW.

I would love to take that out and putt the 115yrd clev. intead... the rest of the r11's are great!!!

I had to go back to callaway balls, the nikes were to hard to predict, their fantastic on long iron shots, but they were killing my short game

The pw is 117 yds with bs 9 out of 10 times, & I knock a bit of power off the 135 iron for 120 yds.

Biggestal  Please explain to me how u hit it then?  Full bspin half bspin?  And if you can put the ball wherever u want why do you have a 61% GIR?

It all depends on wind direction, against wind full bs can make you lose over 10 yds, the stronger the wind the more you will lose, so use bs with moderation if you don't want to lose many yds. I play by feel, more of this, less of that... I have more troubles with the 150 yarder, can't seem to get consistent shots.

    Agree in toto, SOY.

The R-11 PW for me is pretty straight-forward as described in prev responses. But the 8 iron '150' is a crap-shoot every time I use it. Really is a 160yd club with Nike balls, everything else 'neutral'. I believe it more sensitive to wind and terrain in the landing zone ... probably a combination of fairly high arc = longer hang-time, and angle of impact = uncertain roll-out depending on terrain.
