  Agree w/ OP, they should still be able to play even if not eligible to win the prize.

  Lets put it like this, If an Amateur golfer wins the US open, he doesn't  get the prize,but he is still aloud to play after making the cut. He gets the glory, which as i see it this is nearly the same.

  It's look like I'm the third finalist of the nine to agree they should be able to play. I'm sure it will be unanimous in the next 24 hours.

  Surely, that will convey the message to WGT that it's unfair for them not to compete in the finals.

  Good luck guys. I sure hope to see your names when the tournament is announced.

  Totally agree with Fabian.  Players from non eligible countries also pay for their clubs/balls and contribute as much as others, who happen to live in another country.  This probably has its reasons, which i dont know, but Fabian deserves to be in that final and should be able to play it as such.

  Just my two cents, nothing new tho...

  This is a no brainer. Let the best qualifiers play eligible or not.

  Nonsense to my eyes: you can play for qualifying but, if you qualify you can't play, even if the player only wants to take part for fun, and not for the prizes.

  Maybe it's a silly idea, but why WGT couldn't create a special tourney, with the same characteristics of Winter Tour Final, but NO prizes, and allow only all who qualified to play it with no prizes, no matter if they're eligible or not ?

  Is this a violation of what law in what state ?
