It would largely be a waste of time because you wouldnt be able to play it as a ranked round or Tournament.

I think a "Build Your Own Practice Course" would be more logical that you can build a 9 or 18 hole round w/ any holes from the 6 courses we have. ONLY to be played for practice rounds. Still, you could not play as ranked or Tourney as it would affect your average if you built a course of all easy holes.

I think something like this will come but not for years from now untill there is a larger inventory of courses.

    We already have ctth

Which is fairly close to a par 3 course... No putting of course, but it's 9 one-shot holes. It's also supposed to be fun, quick, good for dialing in irons etc. I think that's the point. And we've already got a dozen of them

I've said this before in another thread but i'll say it again. They could make a best of par 3 & 5 course consisting of 9 par 3's and 9 par 5's. Add all that together and you get a par 72. You'd have to alternate between the par 3's and par 5's so the front 9 would be par37 & back 9 par35.

Good idea Daz.  Add in a pair of par-4's - one on the front, and one on the back - and it becomes par 36 on both sides.

Whistler is 37 front, 35 back so i don't see it being a problem.

What these players suggesting par 3 courses are not thinking about is 9 par 3's in a row would be par 27. Birdie every hole and that's a round of 18. Players would be averaging in the late 30's

I'm sure WGT could "set a flag", so that the score would not be averaged in with other ranked rounds if it were implemented.

If it wasn't a ranked round then tournaments could not be played on it so therefore i wouldn't play it.

If i wanted to practice par 3's then i could just pick them all out individually from the community menu.

What I was trying to convey, was have the Par 3 Tourney in a RG, ranked, etc, but just don't have the Par 3 Tourney's avg in to your current average.

WGT is able to track AS and MP, maybe a separate tracking for "Par 3 Rounds Only" could be applied?

Oh right i get ya. If they could do this then fair enough. I'm sure wgt will release another best of course. It'll be interesting to see if we get what we ask for.

I wouldn't mind something like this, as I personally find a Par 3 the most challenging of all holes.  Except on the USGA Par 4's, where I have to hit my second shot so hard, and just about set my ball on fire, to hopefully get a GIR, or at least near enough for a par! :)
