WGT Winter Championship... When?

  From the championship leaderboards, the 9 players playing for the prize are

  First round is underway, the whole thing about keeping the link secret though is a little poorly programmed. Just script the leaderboard in a way that it only shows eligible entrants so that you can openly post the link of the tournament and everybody can follow it?

  It seems strange to me that the second round leaderboards are visible to everybody and entry is restricted to 100+ eligible players but for the final they have to rely on the 9 eligible players keeping the link secret.

  Wouldn't it make more sense to just restrict the entrants for the final in the same way so the non-qualifiers who spent all that time and used up all those balls trying to qualify can see what is happening ?

  i for one think the handling of such a big event in wgt tournament history has been abysmal - how on earth does this  not get any coverage or have leaderboards open for us to see is beyond my comprehension. i dont understand why wgt cannot restrict this event to the finalists if they wanted to - just doesnt make any sense, and to tell others to keep this hush hush is just retarded in my view.

  I completely agree with you. There should be a large coverage of this competition. It's a final for a 3 months competition among top players...

  As this is the case for any multiround competition, you cannot enter it once the first round is over. So at that time, I think it's safe to publish the link to the leaderboard. Perhaps WGT will publish an article in the news section with the leaderboard link once the first round is completed... If this is not the case, this link can be posted here I think.

  Icon, if there is a good reason for not publishing the leaderboard link once the first round is over, please let us know (I would be curious to know the reason :) ).

  Once the first round is over presumably the scores will be visible on your profiles which will link to the leaderboard so no more need for all the secret squirrel stuff.
