I've tried to use this club when I'm about 34 or so yards off the green but I end up way short on FULL and a bit over 1/2 on strength. Any tips? Practice is always best I guess. Is this the best club to have or should I ditch it for something else?

Half power on the meter bar does not equal half the rated distance.

Try hitting it around the 3/4 mark. Should get you closer

That was one of my favorite clubs for a long while! (still have it hidden somewhere:) )

Try punching it, watch the avatar moves, 3 moves down (with a punch shot) should get you close to 34 yards, start first with no spin on the ball, then adjust accordingly.

punch is the way to go at that distance. it's 98% carry and deadly accurate; no backspin req'd unless hitting to downslope or big tailwind. 70% swing gets you 35 yds, and you only get half the drift in side-winds that you'd see with a full shot.

30yd gets dicier, but then you're in flop territory anyway.

Agree with the advise above this is the best club you may ever have so take some time on the practise mode &  go for it. What I mean by that is hit onto the green hit it off and try something new. You get 10 strokes per hole so you should be able to get in lots of practise. Hope that helps

Great advise! Just 9 holes of this will help you out big time. And if you want your legend greens you can play a ranked round but end it after the 8th hole.

I wouldn't recommend this until you reach level 74 and above.  The lower level ones can't do anything the Z Satins can but cost at least twice as much.

Everyone has their own methods but personally, for what it's worth, I use a punched 64° Cleveland for anything between about 30 and 51 yards.   Anything shorter I usually pitch unless I'm on the fringe and less than 8 or 9 yards from the hole when I use a chip shot.

I rarely use a flop, I know it can be a life saver but unless I have lots of elevation to deal with a pitch seems to do the job pretty well and the chances of holing out are higher as the roll is more predictable.

    Exactly!

In answer to the OP, the Ping wedges are good clubs at your level. When you get to the higher levels the Clevelands can do some excellent stuff for you when you calibrate the spin etc.
