GENERAL QUESTIONS
World Golf Tour is a real golf tour in the sense that there are players, standardized rules, prizes, winners and competition. However, instead of playing outside on a physical golf course, all the activities take place in a virtual world on the internet.
The golf courses available right now are Pebble Beach in California, The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort in South Carolina, Congressional Country Club in Maryland, Bethpage Black in New York, St Andrews in Scotland, Merion Golf Club in Pennsylvania, Harbour Town in South Carolina, Olympic Club in California, Royal St. George's in Kent, and Erin Hills in Wisconsin. Many new courses will be added over time.
Yes, we will be adding many more real-world golf courses in the future. We plan to offer many of the most beautiful and well-known golf courses in the world for our players to enjoy.

Each player may have one account, and you can only create one player per email address. Playing in tournaments using more than one account is a serious offense and may result in being permanently banned from WGT.
Email addresses must be in the standard testname@example.com format, and a single e-mail address can only be used for a single account.
The confirmation email should appear in your email box within 10 minutes of registration. It is possible that our email was caught by your spam filter. Please check your spam folder for an email from members@wgt.com, and add members@wgt.com to your address book. Note that you can't reply to that email - for help please use our online form.
To reset your password, click the question mark or "Forgot your password?" link. You will be prompted to enter your email (use the one you registered with World Golf Tour), and you should receive an email with your username and a special link. Click on the link, and you will be prompted to enter a new password.

PLAYING THE GAME
To start a game, click the PLAY NOW button on WGT.com. Following are the different kinds of games you can start:
- SINGLE PLAYER > QUICK PLAY: The quick play option will normally launch a monthly challenge sweepstakes tournament that you can play with or without signing in. If you play it without signing in, your score will not be recorded. If you play it while signed in, your score will be recorded, and you will be entered into the corresponding sweepstakes tournament if you are eligible.
- SINGLE PLAYER > SELECT A COURSE: This option allows you to choose the course to play on. Once you've selected a course, you can choose between a ranked or practice stroke play round, or a closest-to-the-hole challenge. Scores from ranked stroke play rounds count towards your average score.
- MULTIPLAYER GAME > JOIN A GROUP: This option makes you available to join in a multiplayer game that others create. When another player creates a multiplayer game and chooses ANYONE as an invitee, you will be invited to join.
- MULTIPLAYER GAME > CREATE A GROUP: This option allows you to create your own multiplayer round. You can invite friends who are online from your friends list, manually type in the username of a player you'd like to invite, search for players by typing in a partial username, or invite anyone who has made themselves available to join a multiplayer game.
- MATCH PLAY GAME > JOIN A GROUP: This option makes you available to join in a match play game other others create. When another player creates a match play game and chooses ANYONE as an invitee, you will be invited to join.
- MATCH PLAY GAME > CREATE A GROUP: This option allows you to create your own match play game. You can invite friends who are online from your friends list, manually type in the username of a player you'd like to invite, search for players by typing in a partial username, or invite anyone who has made themselves available to join a match play game.
- MATCH PLAY CHALLENGE > JOIN A GROUP: This option makes you available to join a Match Play Challenge game where you can win credits from your opponent. Not all players will be allowed to play this format based on their country/state of residence.
- MATCH PLAY CHALLENGE > CREATE A GROUP: This option allows you to create a two-player Match Play Challenge game where you can invite another player to play for credits. Not all players are allowed to play this format based on their country/state of residence.
- TOURNAMENTS > CHALLENGES: This option allows you to browse the available closest-to-the-hole challenges. It is organized by Score-Based, which means the lowest scorer wins, and Sweepstakes, which means the winner is determined via random drawing from the pool of eligible players in the tournament.
- TOURNAMENTS > STROKE PLAY: This option allows you to browse the available stroke play tournaments. It is organized by Score-Based, which means the lowest scorer wins, and Sweepstakes, which means the winner is determined via random drawing from the pool of eligible players in the tournament.
To begin your swing, position your cursor over your player's club. Your cursor will turn into a graphic that says SWING.
CLICK and HOLD your left mouse button and move the mouse FORWARD to set the strength of your swing.
When the strength has been set, let go of the mouse button to start the downswing. During the downswing you need to CLICK AGAIN to hit the ball.
A perfect swing is made when you click the button again as the strength indicator is on the thick white line in the middle of the swing indicator.
If you CLICK AGAIN before or after the PERFECT SHOT line, the ball will either hook, draw, fade or slice depending on where you click the button.
Adjust your aim by positioning your cursor over the AIM INDICATOR then CLICK and DRAG as you move your mouse.
The Yardage indicator will turn red when you have positioned it outside of the maximum carry distance for that club. If this happens, you should change your club.
By hitting the Space Bar on your keyboard or clicking on ZOOM in the Swing Meter, you can toggle between Green view and Fairway view to get a closer look and adjust your aim more precisely.
Sometimes it is beneficial to not aim for the flag. Aiming for a larger area of the green can help you avoid the hazards or roll the ball to the hole.
The golf ball icon with the green dot is an advanced setting that allows the player to put extra spin on the ball.
Moving the green dot to the top of the ball will create top spin so the ball will roll more. Moving the green dot to the bottom of the ball will create backspin on the ball.
When your ball is on the green, a speed indicator will be displayed to let you know fast the green is.
- Very Slow
- Slow
- Standard
- Fast
- Very Fast
- Tournament
- Championship
When playing with other players, the green speed will default to the green speed for the highest-tiered player in the group. For example, if two Amateurs and one Pro player are playing in a group, the green speed will be "Fast" based on the Pro player default speed.
There are six different swing types available in the game.
- FULL: Will hit the ball the maximum distance possible if a full swing is used
- PUNCH: A shot that is played back in your stance and comes out lower than normal. It will not travel as far as a Full swing shot
- PITCH: A short shot that is played when the ball is too close to the green for a Full swing. The shot is played with a lofted club and will travel in the air and land on the green with some roll
- CHIP: A shot that is played when very close to the green but not on it. The ball will stay in the air for a short amount of time and then roll towards the cup
- FLOP: A shot that is played with any of your high lofted clubs. The Flop shot hits the ball very high for a soft landing on the green
- PUTT: A shot hit with your putter. Putters are almost always used on the green to roll the ball towards the cup
To change your swing type, click on the swing type name next to club image. Roll over the swing type you want to select and click your mouse button to make your selection.
To change your club selection, click on the club name to the left of the swing meter. This will bring up a Club Selection Panel where you can roll over each club with your mouse to view the distance the club will travel. Click on any club name to select that club to hit with.
You can also use the click-wheel on your mouse to cycle through the available clubs.
- LW = Lob Wedge
- SW = Sand Wedge
- PW = Pitching Wedge
By default, you get a WGT "Beginner" set of clubs when you join World Golf Tour. You can purchase additional clubs to use in the game in our virtual Pro Shop. Click here to see our Pro Shop FAQs.
Click on the Flagstick icon in the upper corner of the game screen to remove and replace the flagstick. When the flagstick has been removed, a red slash will be displayed over the icon.
A tier is your golf classification at World Golf Tour. Based on the scores you shoot in a 9-hole or 18-hole Ranked Stroke Play rounds or Stroke Play Tournament round, you will be placed into a tier. The better your scores, the higher your tier will be. The basic tier is Hack, followed by Amateur, Pro, Tour Pro, Master, Tour Master, Legend and Tour Legend.
Advancing to the next Tier requires a qualifying Average Score AND a minimum amount of completed stroke play games, which will take a little more time but will help players reach the Levels necessary to unlock upgraded equipment that is helpful to compete at higher Tiers.
The tiers that you can be members of currently are:
- Hack
- Amateur
- Pro
- Tour Pro
- Master
- Tour Master
- Legend
- Tour Legend
Tiers will be updated as soon as you finish your round. If you played any ranked or tournament rounds and you now qualify for a new tier you will enter that tier immediately upon completion of the round. Please note that scores from the Best of Par 3 stroke play course will not be counted towards your Tier ranking.
We will add additional tiers as more people join and play at WGT.
Yes, as you move up to new tiers you will earn WGT Credits that can be used to purchase new virtual equipment or to enter tournaments. The credits you will earn are:
- Amateur: 50 credits
- Pro: 100 credits
- Tour Pro: 125 credits
- Master: 150 credits
- Tour Master: 175 credits
- Legend: 200 credits
- Tour Legend: 225 credits
Your tier defines your level of play in the game. Much like a 'handicap' in real golf, your tier will dictate at which level you can enter a tournament to ensure that you will compete against other players of similar ability.
Like real golf, the players playing in top tier will be competing for the most valuable prizes, so you have a good reason to practice and improve!
Your Average Score will be based on multiple best scores within ONLY your current Tier, not scores that you shot when in previous Tiers, which better reflects your current skill competing with the tee boxes and green speeds in your current Tier. Your Average Score will be based on ONLY your best scores, so completing a bad round will not negatively impact your Average Score or Tier. So be sure to finish all your rounds and gain the extra experience points, as a bad day won't matter. Please note that scores from the Best of Par 3 stroke play course will not be counted towards your Tier ranking.
WGT Experience Levels are new and are based on actions you perform on WGT such as completing rounds, hitting shots, earning awards, and interacting with other players. Experience Levels will not be skill-based like Tiers; instead, you will level up as you play and interact on WGT.
You will receive experience points for shots taken and hole-in-ones immediately after the ball comes to rest. For all other game-related activities, you will earn the associated experience points after you complete the game you are playing. This should give you extra incentive to complete all of your started games.
You character will start at Level 1 when it is new. Existing players will automatically start at a higher level based on their previous tier: Amateur: Level 10, Pro: Level 20, Master: Level 30
At new Levels, players will be able to unlock new virtual items in the Pro Shop previously unavailable to them. Levels will make WGT more fun for everyone regardless of their skill, and also encourage players to finish more multi-player games and matches.
Your current level is displayed throughout the website and game. See the PROFILE example above.
No, there is no maximum level that can be reached at this time.
Yes, you will receive bonus experience points for playing consecutive days on WGT. In order to earn a Consecutive Days bonus you need to have completed a game at least two days in a row. Please make note that Consecutive Days are based on UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) and not your local time zone.
The amount of XP you will earn is based on your Consecutive Day streak. The more days in a row you play, the higher the XP reward will be each day. There are also special Bonus Payouts for milestone days, such as a 10-day streak, a 20-day streak, 50 day, 100 day and so on.
Awards are earned during stroke play tournaments and ranked rounds, as well as closest-to-the-hole challenges. Awards earned in practice rounds are not recorded on your profile. Awards are also not recorded in your profile if you do not finish the round.
After you have signed in to the site, click on the My Profile link at the top of the screen. From here you can click on the Awards tab to see which awards you have won.
You can win awards in the game based on how well you perform in Ranked and Tournament rounds as well as closest-to-the-hole challenges. You must complete the round you are playing in order to keep the awards you win. Awards won during a practice round will not be saved in your Profile. The following chart displays the awards that are available.

A mulligan is a stroke that is replayed from the spot of the previous stroke without penalty.
Mulligans can only be used in Practice mode as a single player playing on a stroke play course.
If you use a mulligan during a Practice game, the ball you are using will be degraded by two hits instead of one hit. Mulligan putts will also degrade your ball by two hits.
No, there is no limit on the number of mulligans you can use when playing a Practice game.
MATCH PLAY
Match Play is a game where two players play against each other on a head-to-head basis but rather than counting total strokes (like stroke play), the match consists of winning holes. For example, the score of a match play match game is rendered relationally. For example, if you've won 5 holes and your opponent has won 4, the score is not shown as 5 to 4; rather, it's rendered as 1-up for you, or 1-down for your opponent. If you have won 6 holes and your opponent 3, then you are leading 3-up, and your opponent is trailing 3-down. Match play matches do not have to go the full 9 or 18 holes. They often do, but just as frequently one player will achieve an insurmountable lead and the match will end early. Say you reach a score of 6-up with 5 holes to play - you've clinched the victory, and the match is over.
Normal play rules will apply. However, if a player has no chance to win the hole, the hole will be awarded to the other player. For example, if Player 1 chips in for a three and Player 2 is putting for a four the hole will end since Player 2 cannot win.
Match Play games are two-player games.
First, select Match Play under Game Modes or Play the Game. To join a game, select Join a Game; to create a game, select Create Game or Invite Players
In a scored Match Play game the results of the match will be kept and displayed in the Stats section of your Profile page. Practice game results are not kept.
Yes, Match Play games do affect your score average and your tier ranking. If you play a match play game against a player of higher tier and win the match your score average will be affected which could affect your tier ranking.
You win a Match Play game by winning more holes than your opponent.
AS on a scorecard stands for "All Square" meaning the match is currently tied.
The word "Dormie" will be displayed on screen when one player is winning by the same number of holes that are left to play (ie. 3 up with 3 to play or 6 up with 6 to play... etc)
No, a Match Play game cannot end in a tie. If you and your opponent are tied after 9 holes (in a 9-hole match) then you will go to extra holes. When playing extra holes, the first player to win a hole will be the winner of the Match.
If you want to quit a Match Play game you have a couple options.
- You can "Suggest to Drop the Match" via the in-game Menu. If you select this, a message will be sent to your opponent with a request to drop the match. If your opponent accepts, then the match will be dropped and no stats or records will be kept. If they do not accept, the match will continue.
- You can Forfeit the match, in which case you will lose the match and be taken back to the main menu
If you lose your internet connection during a Match Play game, your opponent will be taken back to the game lobby to wait for your return. If you do not return within 5 minutes, you will lose the match.
If you lose your connection or close the game three times during the game, you will automatically lose the match.
Should you and your opponent both drop your internet connection within 10 seconds of each other and neither are able to return to the game, no record of the game will be kept.
Your tees will be determined by your tier.
If you win a match you will get a "Win" that will be tracked in your Match Play Stats.
Match Play points will be earned by beating other players in the community. Points are awarded based on the tier of the player you beat:

- Your record vs. players from each tier
- Your record vs. each of your friends
MATCH PLAY CHALLENGE
Match Play Challenge is a new game type where you can challenge other players to a Match Play game for WGT Credits. The winner of the match will earn the credits from their opponent. The loser of the match will lose the credits he put at risk.
Match Play Challenges are not gambling. They are skill-based games you play against other players. We recommend that you play other players who are in the same tier or have a similar skill level in order to ensure a fair game play with your friends! Skill gaming is regulated and may not be available to everyone depending on where you live.
You can read more about Match Play Challenges here.
From the Create a Game page, select Match Play and then CHALLENGE as the Game Mode. Or select Match Play from the main menu and select CHALLENGE as the Game Mode.
From the Game Lobby, select the Play for Credits button to enter your challenge proposal to your opponent.
The minimum challenge amount for each player is 100 credits.
The maximum challenge amount for each player is 4,000 credits.
The FEE value that is displayed when setting up a Match Play Challenge game is the fee that is paid to WGT for running the game.
WGT will withhold 10% of the challenge amount from each player as a fee for running the game. For example, if each player challenges 100 credits, WGT will withhold 10 credits from each player as the fee. Therefore the winner of the match will win 90 credits from their opponent.
The minimum fee taken by WGT is 10 credits per player. The maximum fee taken is 175 credits per player.
Yes, if a player declines your challenge proposal the Play For Credits button should reappear so you can make a new proposal. You can also discuss the amount you are willing to play for via Chat in the game lobby.
If your opponent quits or forfeits in the middle of a Match Play Challenge you will win the credits put at risk by your opponent.
If both players agree to Drop the match prior to one player winning then no credits will change hands and no fee will be withheld by WGT.
No, Match Play Challenges have no effect on your career earnings. Only tournaments will impact your career earnings.
Credits that are put at risk by each player cannot be spent on the WGT site while the match is being played. Those credits put at risk are considered "on-hold" until the match ends.
No, as soon as you begin a Match Play Challenge the credits you are playing for are put on hold and cannot be spent anywhere in WGT. You will not see an impact to your Credit balance for the credits that are put on hold.
We recommend that you play your Match Play Challenge games against your friends. Make sure you invite them to play!
ALTERNATE SHOT
Alternate shot is a 4-player, 2-team Match Play game in which players from each team alternate hitting shots.
Here's an example: If you hit a drive on the 1st hole, your partner will hit the next shot from where your ball landed. You'll continue to alternate hitting shots in this manner until the hole is finished.
The creator of the game invites 3 other people to play, then chooses a partner from one of those players to form Team Green. The remaining 2 players form Team Gold, and the representative for Team Gold gets to choose who will tee off first for their team. The creator of the game will always tee off first for Team Green.
- Whoever tees off first for the team will tee off on all of the odd numbered holes (1,3,5 etc.). Their partner will tee off on the even numbered holes (2,4,6 etc,).
- When it's your turn to tee off, you'll be doing so from the tee box which is appropriate for your respective tier, even if your partner is of a different tier. For example, a Hack player will tee off from the Easy tee box, while their Legend partner will tee off from the Champ tee box when it is their turn. This helps to keep the game fair for players of all tiers.
- Scoring is done in Match Play format, with a team winning the hole by sinking the ball in fewer strokes than the other team. Holes are halved if both teams get the same score on a hole.
Similar to Match Play, each team will get 3 disconnections per side.
- 1st disconnection per team = No Penalty
- 2nd disconnection per team = Team loses the Hole
- 3rd disconnection per team = Team loses the Match
- Each player will use the ball that is equipped in their own inventory. Even though you will be hitting from the spot your partner landed, you'll still be using your own type of ball when it's your shot. This means that your ball will only lose "hits" from shots that you take.
- A new award category called Alternate Shot Mastery has been created and is listed under the Match Play award section. The more you win, the more awards you'll get!
- You can view your Alternate Shot Win/Loss record on the Match Play section of Stats on your Profile.
SKINS GAME
A Skins game is played between 2-4 players. Each hole is called a "skin" and these skins are won by a player who scores lower on a hole than every other player.
You can start a Skins game by clicking on SKINS from the Game Modes menu.
Skins game utilizes a rule called, "2-tie, all tie". This states that if 2 players tie for the lowest score on a hole, the skin isn't won by any player for that hole, and is carried over to the next hole. For instance, if 2 players tie for the same low score of par on the first hole, the skin is carried over to second hole, and that hole would then be worth 2 skins. This carrying-over of skins would continue until one player scores lower than all other players on a hole.
Practice mode allows players to engage this mode of play for fun only. Challenge mode allows players to play a Skins game where each "skin" is assigned a credit value, resulting in a very exciting, high stakes form of skill-based game play between many players.
Each skin is assigned a credit value prior to the start of the game. Taking that Skin Value per Hole, multiplying by the number of holes being played, and the resulting product is the Total Skins Challenge amount. A nominal fee will be charged by WGT for hosting the game (based on the Skin Value per Hole, which will be discussed later). Add the Total Skins Challenge amount to the WGT fee, and you come up with the amount of Credits Needed to Play. This amount is placed on-hold for each participating player until the completion of the game.
In the event that one or more of the players in a Skins game gets disconnected for any reason, all the other players will be brought back to the multiplayer lobby to await the return of the disconnected player(s). There is a 5 minute allotment for players to reconnect at this time. If the disconnected player does not return within that time, they are considered to have forfeited the game, and the remaining players continue on with the game.
- 1st disconnection = No Penalty
- 2nd disconnection = 1 shot penalty
- 3rd disconnection = Forfeit
Skins that have been won by a player who forfeits before the last hole is finished also forfeits any skins they have won up to that point. In a Skins Challenge game, this means that the credit value of any skins won up to the point a player forfeits will not be refunded to that player. Skins games must be completed by a player in order for that player to receive credit for the skins they have won.
Once again, you must complete your Skins game in order to receive credit for any skins you have won. Otherwise the value of those skins will be forfeit to WGT. We do this in order to strongly encourage players not to quit during Skins games, and prevent players from leaving games before they are finished in order to protect skins they may have won to that point.
There will be times when players have skins carry over to the final hole, only to have no one win that hole. In this case, those skins which were carried over would go unclaimed, and the game would be over. In Skins Challenge, the credit value of the unclaimed skins would be refunded back to each player. We do this to ensure we are fairly distributing the credit values of only those skins which were won or lost outright.
If you select the Pick Up Ball option when it is your turn in a Skins game, you will pick up your ball and not be able to play for the rest of the hole. You will not be eligible to win the hole or tie the hole since you will not be able to complete the hole. This option is meant for players who know they have no chance to win or tie the hole.
We base our fee in a Skins Challenge game on the number of credits per skin. The fee schedule is as follows:
- Skin Value per Hole of 10-49 credits = WGT fee of 30 credits per player
- Skin Value per Hole of 50-99 credits = WGT fee of 75 credits per player
- Skin Value per Hole of 100-200 credits = WGT fee of 150 credits per player
- Skin Value per Hole of 201-400 credits = WGT fee of 300 credits per player
We break down each portion of the Skins Challenge game so that players can easily see how they are being charged and refunded.
- SKINS CHALLENGE AMOUNT refers to the credit value of the Skin Value per Hole that each player anted initially multiplied by the number of holes in the game.
- SKINS CHALLENGE FEE refers to the amount that WGT is charging to play that game.
- SKINS CHALLENGE REFUND refers to the sum value of each unclaimed skin at the end of the game.
- SKINS CHALLENGE WIN refers to the sum value of all skins won by you that is credited to your account.
Hole-in-One Challenges
A Hole-in-One Challenge is a new feature on WGT where the player tries to make a hole in one on a specific hole. If the player accepts the challenge, they will select a specific number of WGT Credits to put at risk.
Hole-in-One Challenges are available on Closest-to-the-Hole courses where the player is hitting from a tee box on a par 3 hole and most stroke play courses on Par 3's. There may be times where some holes are not available for Hole-in-One Challenges.
There are currently three payout possibilities, in the hole, within 1 foot of the hole, or within 5 feet of the hole, with the player earning a differing amount of credits based on the final ball position.
The amounts that you can earn will differ based on the hole you are playing. Some holes are easier than others so the payout values will be different from hole to hole. WGT reserves the right to change the payout values at our discretion.
Yes. Hole-in-One Challenges are available on most stroke play courses on Par 3 tee shots.
Closest to the Hole games are available for Hole-in-One Challenges. Hole-in-One Challenges on stroke play courses are available in all Ranked and Tournament games.
When a Challenge is active, you will see two circles drawn around the flagstick at a 1ft. and 5ft. radius. If the ball's final position is within those circles you will win the Challenge and earn WGT Credits.
You will receive your credits immediately if you make a hole in one or hit within the 1 or 5 foot distances. You are not required to finish your game in order to receive those credits.
TOURNAMENTS
There are two main tournament formats on WGT — a closest-to-the-hole challenge, and stroke play:
Closest-to-the-Hole challenge is based on getting a ball as close to the hole as possible in one shot, at each of the holes in the challenge (Unlimited Play).
Stroke Play is based on the number of strokes played to complete a course (Unlimited and Single Play).
We have two different tournament types in each format:
Sweepstakes Tournament - A sweepstakes tournament is one where all the players in the tournament qualify for a random drawing for prizes. The lowest score in the tournament is not guaranteed to be a prize winner. Prizes will be awarded to qualified players based on a random drawing.
Leaderboard Tournament - A Leaderboard tournament is one where the lowest score is the winner of the tournament. All prizes will be awarded based on the finishing place of the participants.
Ready-Go Tournament - Ready-Go tournaments are structured to have a maximum of 50 players per tournament. As soon as 50 players enter the tournament it will be closed for new entries and a new tournament with the same parameters will automatically be created for players to join.
Shot Clock Tournaments - Any of the tournaments listed above can be run with a Shot Clock timer restriction which will require the player to take their shot prior to the clock running out. If the shot is not taken in time a one-stroke penalty will be assessed to the player each time the clock runs out. Missing the clock timer three consecutive times on one shot will result in the game ending.
Sweepstakes: Anyone can play in the sweepstakes, but only players in the following countries are eligible to win prizes: United States, Germany, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, and South Korea. Please note that some restrictions apply and not all of these countries are eligible for all sweepstakes tournaments. See individual tournament rules for details.
Skill Contests (Leaderboard): Players in the followig countries are eligible to play skill contest tournaments with real-world prizes: United States, Germany, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Norway, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain, South Korea, and Japan. Please note that some restrictions apply and not all of these countries are eligible for all tournaments. See individual tournament rules for details.
No, there is no purchase necessary to win a prize at WGT. Certain tournaments may charge an entry fee, so please take a look at the relevant contest rules for the tournament you want to enter.
Yes, you can win prizes in multiple tournaments. However, each person may use only one account to play WGT.
You will be notified by WGT if you have won a prize. Please make sure you register with a valid e-mail address. Your entry will be void if we cannot verify your e-mail address and contact you. You can update your email address by going to your Contact Info page. Be sure to click the "Update" button at the bottom of the page when you are done.
After a tournament ends, we need to verify the scores. You will not receive your tournament trophies, credits, or prize notification until we are finished verifying the scores. This may take up to 2-4 weeks after the conclusion of a tournament. If you have not heard anything from us after one week, please check the Spam folder of your email to see if any notifications from us were caught there.
You can also contact us via our online form one week after the end of a tournament to check the status.
Anyone found cheating in the game will be removed from our member list and be made ineligible to win any prizes.
Per our Terms of Use, players may use only one account to play WGT, and must play their own game in a tournament.
Closest-to-the-Hole Challenge
A closest-to-the-hole challenge is a 9-shot contest in which you receive a score after each shot based on your distance from the pin. There are penalty points if your ball lands in a hazard or off the green.
Scoring is calculated by adding up your total distance from the flagstick with your shot on each hole plus any penalty points you may have incurred. The total after nine holes is your total score. The lower the score the better.
You will be assessed score penalties for missing the green.
- Fringe: +5 points
- Fairway: +10 points
- Light Rough: +15 points
- Medium/Heavy Rough: +20 points
- Cart Path: +25 points
- Sand Trap: +30 points
- Water: +40 points
- Out of Bounds: +50 points
No, there is no limit to the number of times you can play a closest-to-the-hole challenge. However, you only need to play once to qualify for a sweepstakes drawing. If the closest-to-the-hole challenge is a tournament (leaderboard format), your lowest score counts towards the final results.
No, closest-to-the-hole challenge scores do not count towards your tier ranking. Only stroke play tournaments, multiplayer rounds, and ranked rounds count.
Currently, closest-to-the-hole tournaments are single-player games only.
You can play a stroke play game with a group of friends.
Stroke Play
A stroke play (skill contest) tournament is a tournament where the person with the lowest score wins. Each shot that a player takes during the round is counted and it totaled up at the end. All of the players who have entered the tournament will be competing against the players in their same tier.
A ranked round is a stroke play round that will count towards calculating your tier. If you are playing a ranked round and you decide to quit or you lose your internet connection your current game will be saved automatically. You will be prompted to continue your game or quit it the next time you begin a round.
A practice round is a stroke play round that does not count towards your tier ranking. In a practice round you have the ability to set the tees you play, the wind strength, the green speed and the number of holes you want to play.
For tournaments where game credits are awarded we will use a payout method that assigns a specific percentage of the overall purse to the top 70 finishers plus ties. The payout percentages are listed here:

Prizes will be awarded after all of the players' scores are verified and approved by WGT. This can take up to 2-4 weeks after the end of a tournament.
In the event of a tie, the better scoring entrant between or among the tied entrants will be the entrant with the lowest combined score for the final nine (9) holes of the Game.
If any ties remain, the better scoring entrant between or among the remaining tied entrants will be the entrant with the lowest combined score for the final six (6) holes for such Game.
If any ties remain, the better scoring entrant between or among the remaining tied entrants will be the entrant with the lowest combined score for the final three (3) holes for such Game.
If any ties remain, the better scoring entrant between or among the remaining tied entrants will be the entrant with the lowest score for the 18th hole (9th for 9-hole games) in such Game, and any remaining ties will be determined by identifying the lowest scoring entrant for each individual game hole, in sequence from 17th (8th for 9-hole games) through to 1st, as is necessary to determine a winner, and if any ties remain at that point, the earlier-submitted entry between or among the tied entries will be deemed the better scoring entry.
If multiple people tie for a place, the percentages for those places will be added up and divided by the number of people who tied for the place. For example, if three people tie for 2nd place, the percentages for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place will be totaled up and divided by three. Each player would receive the same amount. 5th place will then get the correct 5th place percentage.
If there are fewer than 70 players entered in a tier, the payout rules are as follows:
- Money (or credits) will be paid out as normal to the winners as if there were 70 people in the tier.
- For each position that doesn't exist, the money (or credits) will be put into a pool as unawarded.
- Total up the money that was awarded.
- Calculate the percentage of the money each person received that was awarded.
- Give each person that percentage of the unawarded pool.
The entire tournament purse will be paid out regardless of how many entrants there are in the tournament.
Ready-Go
Ready-Go Tournaments are structured to have a maximum of 50 players per tournament. As soon as 50 players enter the tournament it will be closed for new entries and a new tournament with the same parameters will automatically be created for players to join. Ready-Go tournaments are available for stroke play and Closest-to-the-Hole formats.
You can access the Ready-Go tournament page from the Tournament section or via this link. You can also access the Ready-Go tournaments from the game menu under the Tournaments section.
A maximum of 50 players can enter a Ready-Go Tournament
WGT pays out 80% of the total purse in WGT Credits to the top 30 finishers in the tournament. The current payout table for Ready-Go Tournaments is:

In "open" tournaments, players from all tiers will compete against each other with each player using the tee box that corresponds with their Tier. In new "tier" tournaments, only players from that Tier (e.g. Pro) will compete against each other.
You will play from the teebox that corresponds with your current tier.
A new tournament will be created immediately after a tournament reaches the 50 player limit. There will always be a 50-player tournament ready to join.
From the Ready-Go tournament page you will see a link titled "See closed tournament results". Clicking that link will allow you to see all of the past tournaments and filter them to see the ones you have entered.
Yes, Ready-Go tournament winnings will be added to your Career Earnings total
You will only be able to enter one instance of each Ready-Go tournament at a time. Once the tournament you are entered in is finished and prizes are paid out you'll be able to enter another instance of that Ready-Go tournament.
For strokeplay games you will have 12 hours after the tournament fills up to complete your round. For Closest-to-the-Hole games you will have 3 hours to complete your round. If you do not post a score within the timeframe you will be disqualified from the tournament.
As soon as all players have posted a score or 12 hours after the last person entered the tournament it will automatically end and credits will be awarded based on the Ready-Go payout table listed above.
Country Club Tournaments
Country Club tournaments are a new tournament format where members of the same country club can play in private tournaments against each other.
Single round stroke play tournaments and Closest to the Hole tournaments can be created on any course that is available for play in WGT. You can also select green speed, wind strength and hole locations.
Any current member of the country club is eligible to create a tournament for the club.
The creator of the tournament can select between 24, 48 or 72 hour durations. When the time frame expires, the tournament will end and credits and/or trophies will be awarded.
On your Country Club homepage, under the Club Tournaments menu, click CREATE NEW TOURNAMENT to start the creation process.
You can go to your Country Club page on the website to see the active or ended tournaments. Or you can access them via the game main menu. Underneath the TOURNAMENTS header you will see a new entry for COUNTRY CLUB TOURNAMENTS. Click that text to see the tournaments available for your club.
No, each player will play from the tee that corresponds with the tier the player is in.
It depends on how the tournament was created by the club member. When creating a tournament, the club member will have the option to select if the tournament will be free-to-enter or pay-to-enter. Free-to-enter tournaments will be free for all club members. Pay-to-enter tournaments will require a credit fee as defined by the club member who creates the tournament.
For free-to-enter tournaments players will be competing for a trophy that will be awarded to the winner of the tournament. For pay-to-enter tournaments players will be competing for a purse that is made up of the entry fees from all club members who entered the tournament.
WGT will pay out 80% of the total purse to the winners of each tournament.
The club member who creates the tournament has a couple options for the payout rules. They are:
- Winner Take All: The Entrant who comes in first place will win the entire purse.
- Top 3: 1st Place: 55% of the purse, 2nd Place: 30% of the purse, 3rd Place: 15% of the purse
- Top 10: 1st - 10th place will receive a payout in the following percentages: 40%, 20%, 10%, 9%, 6%, 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, 1%
BRACKET TOURNAMENTS
Bracket tournaments will allow a specific number of players to enter a tournament and then compete against other players in two-player matches to move through the bracket to the eventual championship match. The tournament will continue until only two players remain. Those two players will play in the championship match and the winner will be the tournament champion. Games will be played as single-player games and will have a deadline for when the game must be completed, or else the player will be withdrawn from the tournament.
Select the BRACKET option from the TOURNAMENTS menu to access the active bracket tournaments. Once you have selected a tournament to enter just click on the ENTER button to enter the tournament.
Players will be added to the bracket in the order in which they enter the tournament. As soon as a bracket is filled up a new bracket tournament will be created.
Currently only stroke play bracket tournaments are available but closest-to-the-hole brackets will be available soon.
Typically each round in a bracket tournament will last 24 hours but they can vary. For the first round the 24-hour countdown timer will not start until the final player has entered the tournament.
For a 16-player bracket the winner will receive 50% of the purse, 2nd place will earn 30% of the purse and the players who finish in 3rd and 4th place will each earn 10% of the purse. When brackets are available with 32 and 64 players, different payout structures will be used.
When a bracket tournament round ends, the score for each player who completed the round will be displayed in the bracket. The player with the lower score will be the winner and will move on to the next round of the bracket. Additionally, players who will be playing in the next round will receive an email letting them know the new round is now active.
If two players post the same score in a match then the tie-breaker rules will be used to determine the winner of the match.
The courses that will be part of the bracket will be displayed at the top of the bracket image in the game. All players playing in each round will play the same course with the same conditions.
If you are scheduled to play a round but do not post a score before the round ends then you will be eliminated from the bracket and your opponent will move on. If neither player completes the round then neither player will move on and the opponent in the next round will automatically win the match.
In a tierless Bracket tournament you will play from the teebox that is associated with your tier. In a tiered Bracket tournament all players will play from the same teebox.
SET OF THE WEEK TOURNAMENTS
Set of the Week tournaments are tournaments where all players in the tournament use the same clubs to play the game. Since all players will be using the same clubs to play the tournament, the scores will represent a better test of skill.

When a tournament is published, the Set of the Week is locked to that tournament. So if you create a 7 day tournament with a Set of the Week and then the Set of the Week changes, you will continue to play with the original set that was defined when the tournament was created.
If a Set of the Week tournament is running, you will see a small icon with two golf clubs to designate it as a Set of the Week tournament. This image will be displayed next to the name of the tournament on the website and in the game. Click on the icon to see the list of the clubs you will be using in the tournament.
No, scores posted in Set of the Week tournaments will not be factored into your average score or tier calculations.

PRO SHOP
You will need to have credits to purchase items in the Pro Shop. You can get them by via the Buy Credits page or by winning them in tournaments.
You can keep the clubs and balls you buy in the Pro Shop for as long as you want, however balls do wear out over time as do Rental Club and Snacks.
You need to equip your player with clubs and balls bought in the Pro Shop. To do this you will use the My Equipment tool within the game. To access this tool you must be signed in to the game. Click on the My Equipment option under My Settings from the main menu. Additionally, you can access My Equipment immediately after you purchase a club in the Pro Shop by following the links on your Purchase Confirmation page or by clicking the View/Edit Equipment button prior to teeing off. My Equipment can also be accessed in the Change Club pop-up by clicking the Club Selection button, however changes cannot be saved while a game is in progress.
Once you are in the My Equipment interface you need to "click and drag" the club or ball you would like to equip from the inventory section into the In My Bag section. Make sure you click the Save Changes button.
To remove a club or ball from your bag, you can either "click and drag" the club icon from the In My Bag section into the Inventory section or uncheck the EQUIPPED box under your equipped item.
Click on the Pro Shop button in the main menu. Various promotions throughout the game will also open the Pro Shop. The Pro Shop can also be accessed from the Change Clubs pop-up while playing the game.
Clubs
The clubs for sale in the Pro Shop have better attributes than the clubs that you begin with in the game. Having better clubs will allow you to hit the ball further and score better. The higher the number the better the club performs.
You can sort clubs by Newest Items, Price and Brand. Additionally, you can filter the display to only show clubs that are available for you to purchase based on your Level and Tier and to only show items that you do not currently own yet.
The ratings chart rates the attributes associated with each club, such as precision, forgiveness, and spin. These ratings define how the club performs when used in the game. In the example below, the ratings for the driver you are viewing appears on the left, and for comparison the driver ratings of the driver you are using are on the right. You can see that the selected driver has better precision and more distance than the equipped driver.
- Avg. Distance: Displays the average distance the ball will travel when hit at full strength on a flat surface and with no wind
- Trajectory: Indicates the general height of the ball flight
- Precision: Defines generally how close to the aiming point the ball will land based on where you hit on the swing meter
- Forgiveness: Displays how much Distance and Precision the ball will lose if not hit perfectly
- Shot Shaping: Displays the level of "workability" of the club to move the ball left or right during flight
- Spin: Defines the level of spin the club will transfer to the ball. A ball with more spin will stop faster on the green
- Meter Speed: Indicates the speed at which the swing meter moves, the lower the number the faster the meter will move.
When you are looking at item categories such as Drivers, Irons, or Balls, you can compare up to three items at once by clicking the Compare checkbox for the item you want to compare. You must compare at least two items but can compare up to three items. After you have selected the items you wish to compare click the Compare button to see the attributes for each club listed next to each other.
You can read item reviews from any item page in the Pro Shop. You can always add your own review to the page as well if you have an opinion you would like to share with the community. Enter your review in the Review space provided and submit the information. WGT will read each review and approve them as long as they do not violate our Terms & Conditions.
You can have a maximum of 14 clubs in your bag.
We require each player to equip an iron set and putter before playing a game. That leaves five slots for optional clubs. You are not required to have any optional clubs. Drivers, woods, hybrids, and wedges are considered optional clubs.
Club Rental
You can rent clubs in the Pro Shop to try them out before making a purchase. To begin the rental process click on the RENT ME button when looking at the club details in the Pro Shop.
You can rent any club as long as it is available to your level.

No, you do not need to use the clubs you have rented. If you want to use a rented club you need to equip it via the MY EQUIPMENT interface.
When you load the MY EQUIPMENT interface to equip your clubs, each club that has been rented will have a clock icon displayed. If you mouse-over the clock icon the remaining time left on your rental period will be displayed.
If you are in the middle of game and your rental period runs out for a club you are using you will be allowed to finish the game with your rented club. After the game the rented club will be automatically removed from your inventory. Similarly, if you save a game during the rental period you can resume the game after the rental period has expired with your rented clubs provided you haven't played another game or forfeited the round.
Your rented clubs will automatically be removed from your inventory when the rental time period runs out (unless you are using it in a game).
Balls
The golf balls for sale in the Pro Shop will give you some additional benefits over the basic ball you are given when you create an account. The new balls can give you additional distance, spin, and feel.
Purchased balls also have a durability factor and they will wear out as you use them.
By default, you get a standard unlimited WGT ball when you join World Golf Tour. You can purchase additional balls with different enhancements to use in the game in our virtual Pro Shop. Most WGT balls come in 10 different colors.
You can see all of the attributes of the balls in the Pro Shop. They are Distance, Spin, Meter Speed and Durability.
- Distance: Will display the increase in distance you will receive using the ball
- Spin: Will display the increase in spin you will receive using the ball
- Meter Speed: Will display the impact the ball will have on the meter speed. The higher the number the more the meter speed will decrease.
- Durability: Will display how many hits the ball can absorb before being taken out of play
Each ball can only be used for a limited number of shots. The number of hits will be tracked and displayed on the swing interface in the game under the HITS meter. This will give you an estimate of how many hits you have left with that ball. Putts are not counted as a hit to the ball unless the putt is a mulligan. If it is a mulligan then two hits will be deducted from the durability.
When you reach the hit limit for the ball you are using, it will be replaced automatically with a new ball of the same type and color. If you do not have any more of the ball type and color in your inventory then the Basic ball will be inserted. The Basic ball is the ball provided to you when you first start playing WGT. You cannot change balls while playing a round.
If you hit a ball OB or into a Water Hazard that ball will be removed and will be replaced with a new ball of the same type and color if you have one. If not, it will be replaced with the Basic ball.
A message will be displayed when the ball you were using has been taken out of play and replaced.
Yes, you can visit the Pro Shop during your round to replenish the ball you are using. If you lose your last ball of a specific type and color you can purchase new ones in the Pro Shop but will not be able to use them in your current round if you have already switched to the Basic ball.
No, you have an unlimited inventory of the Basic ball.

If a club is currently in your bag the word "Equipped" will be displayed. You cannot sell back a club that is in your bag. You will need to remove the club from your bag before you will be allowed to sell the item. You can give a gift to a WGT member or to friends who are not WGT members. If you give a gift to a WGT member the item will automatically show up in their inventory after you send it to them. Accessories
From the Pro Shop homepage click on Accessories and then XP Boosts in the menu. This will load the current Drinks available for purchase.
Using a Drink in the game will give you bonus experience points (XP) as you play the game.
There are currently three different Drinks available for purchase. Each one has a different XP bonus associated with it. The XP Boost gives a 5% bonus, the XP Boost Plus give a 10%, the XP Super Boost gives a 20% bonus, and the XP Ultra Boost gives a 40% bonus on all XP earned while playing the game.
You can purchase Drinks with different durations. The shortest is one hour and the longest is 15 days. The duration of each drink is based on real-time, not game time. This means that a 2-hour drink will be used up in 2 hours on the clock, not 2 hours of actually playing the game.
If you started the game with a Drink and it expires while you are playing you will still receive bonus XP for your entire round. If you purchase a Drink in the middle of a game you will receive bonus XP from the point of purchase going forward.
If you already have a Drink equipped and you purchase another of the same Drink your time will be extended. If you purchase a different Drink it will replace your current one.
Yes, all Drinks are giftable, however if your friend already is using a drink you cannot send him a new one.
Using a Putter Pal will place a small ruler on the swing meter when you are using your putter.
If you purchase a Putter Pal small hash marks will be added to your swing meter when using your putter. The hash marks will denote each 10% increment and also displays the 25%, 50% and 75% measurements. This will help you with setting the correct strength for your putt.
The Putter Pal will not work with the EZ Swing putter. Putter Pal will work with all other putters in the game.
The Level-Up Boost is a virtual item that will immediately level-up your player to next level. It can be purchased in the Pro Shop.
Level-Up Boosts can only be purchased between Level 6 and Level 64. The price of the Level-Up Boost will vary depending on your level. From Level 6-19 the cost is 100c. From Level 20-39 the cost is 200c. From Level 40-59 the cost is 300c. From Level 60-64 the cost is 400c.
Yes, you can purchase Level-Up Boosts to other players as a gift. The cost of the gift will depend on the level of the player you are gifting it to.
If there is a new virtual item you want but it is not available for you yet, purchasing a Level-Up Boost can help you reach the new level faster so you can unlock and purchase the item.
A Ball Speed Boost is a virtual item that will speed up the pace at which the ball flies while playing WGT. This will allow you to play games at a faster rate. Each boost you purchase will have 100 hits and putts count.
There are three different Ball Speed Boosts and each has a different speed boost. The Ball Speed Boost speeds the ball up 2 times faster than normal, the Ball Speed Boost Plus speeds the ball up 3.2 time faster than normal and the Ball Speed Boost Ultra speeds up the ball by 4.5 times.
No. The ball will still fly the same distance and with the same accuracy. Using a Ball Speed Boost will just get the ball to its end point faster.
You can own multiple Ball Speed Boosts of each type. If you own multiple, you can control which one you are using by going to the Game Settings section from the main menu. Here you can choose which boost to use.
Yes, you can turn off the Ball Speed Boost for putting from the Game Settings menu. You can also turn off the Game Speed Boost entirely from the Game Settings menu.

A Course Notebook is a item where you can write and save notes about each hole on a WGT course. For Stroke Play couses you will have one page for "Fairway" notes and one page for "Green" notes. CTTH courses have only one page per hole. The notes you take will be saved and you can retrieve them whenever you are playing that hole.
If you own a Course Notebook you will see a small Notebook icon located to the right of your username when playing a game. Click on the icon to have the Notebook appear on your screen. You can only view your Notebook and not the Notebook of other players you are playing with.
You can enter and save notes into your Notebook during single-player practice, ranked or tournament games. In multi-player games you can view your notes but cannot enter new notes.
As long as you are playing WGT you will have access to your notes. If you stop playing WGT we will erase your notes after one year of inactivity.

Country Clubs
Click here to see a detailed overview of Country Clubs.
Country Clubs are groups of WGT players who have chosen to form a closer affiliation with each other. As with real-world country clubs, you should create or join a club that fits your personality and interests. If you are not yet a member of a Country Club, you can either create a club and invite your friends to join it, or you can join an existing club.
Under the WGT Community header in the top navigation bar you will see a Country Clubs option in the menu that appears underneath the header when you roll your mouse over the WGT Community title.
Any player who is in the Amateur tier or higher can create a Country Club.
It costs 50 credits to create a club. A newly created club has a maximum of 15 members including the owner, and as the club moves up in level, the number of friends allowed to join will increase.
You can invite any WGT player to join your club as long as there is space in your club. During the creation process you will be prompted to invite your friends to join your club. Your invitation will be delivered to the player via the Invites tab of the Friends List.
You can find a club to join by going to the Country Club homepage and seeing which clubs need more members. From the Profile page for the Country Club, you can click the Request Membership button and your request will be sent to the club owner via the Invites tab in the Friends List. If accepted by the owner, you will placed in the club as a member.
You can be a member of only one club at a time.
As part of a Country Club, you will have access to the Club-only forums where club members can discuss game-play and other topics privately as well as play in club member-only tournaments, and you will be able to contribute Experience Points to your club total to increase your club level to earn great rewards.
As a Club owner, you have the ability to invite members to the club, approve all membership requests, remove players from the club, transfer the club ownership to another club member, and close the club entirely.
Country Club members work together to level up their clubs by earning Experince Points (XP) for the club. As the club moves up to new levels, rewards are unlocked for the club members.
Playing a game that earns your player XP can also earn your Country Club XP. Using a Country Club pass before a game will make your player XP earned count towards your country club as well.
If you are a member of a country club, you will be prompted before a game as to whether you wish to use a pass to earn XP for your club.

From your Country Club homepage access the section titled Create Custom Courses. Here you can build courses to use in your tournaments by selecting the course and then the hole you would like to add to your custom course.
Course Builders are the in-game currency you need to publish tournaments using your custom courses. Your club will need to have at least one Course Bulider to publish a tournament with a custom course. Course Builders are not needed to create courses, but rather only to publish tournaments.
No, Course Builders are only needed when publishing a tournament using a custom course. Any existing WGT course, such as Pebble Beach or Olympic Club, does not require a Course Builder.
Course Builders can be won in Country Club Events and can be purchased in the Pro Shop. If you purchase or win Course Builders, they are added to your Country Club account, not your personal account.
The country club owner will be able to set permissions for both creating courses and publishing tournaments with custom courses. Custom courses can be built on the website.
No, since the par on a custom course can vary, any score shot will not count towards your average score. However, other stats will be saved, such as Hole In Ones, Birdies...etc.
Club vs. Club Events
Compete head-to-head against other WGT Country Clubs for fame, glory and new rewards including some of the best equipment in the game! WGT will start running Country Club Events, typically over a few days like a weekend. During a Club Event, country clubs are matched against other country clubs in what are called Club Clashes. The club with the most total points from their Clashes will win the event.
Club Clashes pit one country club against another for a limited time, during which the members in each club attempt to earn the highest number of points for their club. Members score points by playing well in the specified game type(s) on the featured course(s) during the Clash. The club with the highest combined score at the end of the Clash wins that Clash and earns an additional Win Bonus that is added to the club's total points for the event to determine the rewards.
During a Club Event, anyone in your club can click the Challenge a Club button on the Event Home tab to start a Club Clash and match your club against another.
We try to match you to the closest club to your club's skill level and available for a Clash. We will be tuning this match-making over time to improve the experience.
Once a Clash has begun between two clubs, a timer begins counting down to show how much time is left in that Clash.
Games not completed within the Clash timer do not count towards the Clash Point total, but XP earned will count towards you and your club.
In order to start a new Clash, there must be enough time remaining in the Event to complete a Clash. Time durations may vary from Event to Event.
Once your club is matched with an opponent, you will receive an email, and a popup message will alert you it has begun. Enter the Club Event by going to your Club's Homepage and clicking the Club Event Banner. Compete in a Club Game by clicking the Play Game button on the Club Event main page. A Club Pass needs to be used in each Clash round to earn points for your club.
Superpasses are special club passes that can only be used in Clash games. Superpasses double the number of points earned in a Clash game.
Every team begins with a number of Superpasses determined by their club level. In addition to the Superpasses awarded to your club at the start of an Event, two additional SuperPasses will awarded to your club at the start of each Clash you participate in.
Superpasses cannot be purchased.
If you have permission from the club owner and there are Superpasses available, the option will be available to select when you enter the club game.
Superpasses can be used by any player in the club that has received permission from the club's owner. If you do not have access to Superpasses, contact your club owner to receive permission.
Clicking the Play Game button on the Event Home tab will start a new game. Completing a game before the Clash ends will earn your club points based on your performance. Play in as many games as you can during the Clash to score the most possible points.
Stroke-play scoring is based off of a modified Stableford system. Points are earned per hole, counting strokes taken relative to par as follows:
- Double Eagle (3 strokes under par): +50 points
- Eagle (2 strokes under par): +25 points
- Birdie (1 stroke under par): +12 points
- Par (Even par): +5 points
- Bogey or worse(1+ strokes over par): +2 point
- Double Bogey or worse(1+ strokes over par): +1 point
Scoring is based your distance to the hole. The points earned are:
- In the Hole: +8 points
- .01 - 3 feet: +6 points
- 3.01 - 10 feet: +4 points
- 10.01 - 20 feet: +2 points
- 20.01 - 35 feet +1 point
- 35+ feet 0 points
The Participation Bonus is based on the percentage of players in the club that play in the Clash. The Participation Bonus points will be added after the Clash winner has been determined.
- 0 - 24.9%: 0 points
- 25 - 49.9%: +40 points
- 50 - 74.9%: +100 points
- 75 - 99.9%: +175 points
- 100%: +300 points

- Special limited-edition Tournament Tee Box markers to be used in CC tournaments
- Special limited-edition Tournament Flags to be used in CC tournaments

Most CC Rewards are awarded to all participating country club members, but some are only for members selected by the CC Owner, like the special MAX CC Rewards equipment. Unless otherwise noted, a single MAX CC Reward item is available for each event. WGT will contact the winning owner after the event and ask who in their club should receive the MAX CC Reward item.
CC Rewards are processed 24-48 hours after a Club Event is completed.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Please see the section above. Also, read our post about optimizing your system, which includes information on how to run disk clean-up, etc.
The meter performance is affected by a multitude of variables and affects every player differently due to their location, internet service provider, computer, what is installed on the computer and the settings on the computer/ browser. We are working on several solutions which will make the meter more consistent or perform smoother in more conditions but we do not have a simple or catchall solution that we can release. We do and will continue to seek solutions.
But to be clear WGT does not have any control to vary the meters performance by time, type of game, round or stroke. We cannot target an individual nor a specific stroke.
If the meter is performing better or worse at a particular moment it is probably due to congestion between the server and your machine or the current CPU and RAM utilization on your computer. We have found that most of the issues have to do with the amount of RAM you have and the CPU performance of your system.
Running streaming music/video, iTunes, anti-virus scans, etc. will noticeably degrade the performance of the meter.
