Ffudd: Cheers Pizza - appreciated.
Don't get too excited! The answer could be anywhere from: "We like this suggestion and plan on doing this in the near future" to: "This suggestion would not be viable any time"
Again, I am the messenger :)
Stay classy,

On a positive note - on rare occasion I am able to bring good news to a question posed by the community. I freaking love when that happens :)
I was able to pry our lead QA engineer away from his desk for a couple of minutes, and he explained to me a major improvement that we should be including in our next scheduled release (or possibly the following scheduled release)
We hear your feedback, we really do. One of the kernels of feedback highlighted in this thread is about the friends list, specifically while in a game. Our engineers have been hard at work perfecting a change to the friends list, while in game. When it is your shot your friends list notifications will not display on your screen. Any notifications, be it an invite, or a status change, will be "queued" and then displayed after your shot is done.
I realize this news may spawn more questions, but I assure you that this is the only information I am able to share on this subject (the lead QA wouldn't even tell me more!)
I hope I was able to shed some light on this meter subject, even if it is a small ray of hope. I'm sure more information on this feature will be available once it's released (I may have given too much info as it is already, so if I go missing look in MisterWGT's basement)
Here's to transparency!
