There's levels and tiers in this game, you're about to mix it up.

Levels (1...64...116...) are related to XP points which we get for industrious playing. They serve to unlock certain equipment in the pro shop.

Tiers are WGTs handicapping system. Hack, Amateur, Pro... are related to playing ranked strokeplay rounds, privately and in tournaments. There, the average is important as well as the number of rounds played. The game becomes more difficult from tier to tier due to longer playing lengths and faster greens, one by one.

Further explanation there ("Changing Tiers") ==>

You play mostly Blitz and CTTH which do not count to the average and do not promote you to the next tier. Matches and A/S games also don't.

Just play strokeplay rounds, e.g. the free weekly and monthly tournaments, and you'll see new challenge and fun soon.

    One hint regarding your clubs:

You have two each 3WDs and hybrids in your bag. You may want to choose the "Starter Plus" which you bought and drop the excessive clubs, mainly the SWING club.

This will create room for wedges which improve the short game. You'd take big advantage if you buy two custom wedges in the pro shop, from Ping up.

    Have fun!

As above ^ plus here's some information re tier requirements I copied & pasted from another forum post (unfortunately I didn't make a note of the contributor, so thanks whoever you are!):

Amateur 100 average with at least 5 games as a Hack.

Pro 80 average with at least 10 games as an Amateur.

Tour Pro 72 average with at least 20 games as a Pro.

Master 67 average with at least 25 games as a Tour Pro.

Tour Master 63 average with at least 40 games as a Master.

Legend 61 average with at least 50 games as a Tour Master.

Tour Legend 60 average with at least 500 games as a Legend.

WGT haven't officially released any info on the exact requirements - the above info has been calculated by players - but it seems pretty accurate from players comments.
