OK thanks Steve, looks like 3rd round lower bracket for me.

I want to continue playing, so pair me up with anyone, available every day midnight GMT +6 for several hours, which is like early morning Thailand, early evening USA

    Corwyn:

    rmchangin:
Me & Mbaggs have already made plans to play  together  today or  tomorrow ...Greg

Oh, funny, funny, funny... (This'll teach me to do it properly the first time, lol!)

    Here we go again...

    Corwyn:
    Lower Bracket:

As we don't know how many of the lower bracket players will want to continue in this optional bracket, we're leaving pairings to be decided amongst yourselves, first-come-first-served.

Here are REVISED (again) pairings for the Lower Bracket after all!

why9 & LeGeNdCrUsHeR (already played their round today!)

lvietri & filmslayer (already played their round today!)

    10luigi10 & hyena64    borntobesting & hyena64 (turns out these 2 already made plans)

Daboofness & MBaggese   MBaggese rmchangin  (turns out these 2 already made plans as well!)

    borntobesting & rmchangin    10luigi10 & Daboofness

    [Note: LOLserver WD]

All the players are listed with their Availability in this new sheet in the Chart.

Please use the process described in this post to find and suggest a compatible time to play with your partner (please DO NOT rely catching your partner green: schedule instead!). And do tell us in the thread once you have made a connection and your scheduled playing time.

And, if any of you are having a hard time connecting with your playing partner, or if that player decides to withdraw, Shiner (and others) are available to quickly step up to be a marker. Just let us know in the thread. Thanks!

EDIT: note switch around of 2 pairings above, as hyena and b2b had already connected and made plans.

EDIT #2: rmchanging and MBaggese already made plans, so final pairing is now 10luigi10 & Daboofness!!!

IF SOMEONE WANTS TO PLAY AND FREE AND APPEARANCE A COMPANION LET ME KNOW ARE OFTEN ONLINE

I realize there are some folks left to play their second round but in case you want to get some practice in here you go for Round 3.

    Course Conditions for Round 3
    Course:Merion
    Mode: Practice
    Tees: Championship
    Green Speed: Tournament
    Wind: Low
    Lies: Uneven
    Shot Timer: 90 seconds
These conditions are also on page 1.

Could someone please be a marker for 10luigi10 so he can get his round in. I have been on the road since yesterday and need to get some rest.

And FYI: 10luigi10 is green right now if anyone can help...

I have to run, so I'll add a proper report soon... and an updated leaderboard.

After a real struggle on the front9, where I couldn't get close, and could barely make a putt, I was safely -7 coming to the last, but we got the nightmare headwind, and I got metered, and I'd hit 3 shots before I got out of the rough.

I fear my bogey puts us in the awful tie-breaker situation with all the 64 scores in the top bracket, so I'll have to check where things are with that.

    For now, here's my card:

BTW: Dazza played beautifully, and was unlucky not to finish with a sub-60 round. Great shooting, Darren!!!

    All right...

Here is the current Leaderboard, with 10luigi10 still to finish (?). I'm not sure what's happening, Luigi, did you find someone? I saw you were Red (busy) a while back, perhaps playing this round? Please update us in the thread. You have until end of business today to get your round played. Note fmagnets' offer for this evening.

In the Top Bracket, all players have now completed their rounds...

As was stated in the opening post, any ties for placings will be resolved per standard WGT rules (final 9, final 6, final 3 holes, then 18th, 17th etc if still tied). Sadly, the tie-breaker has come into effect, given all the 64 scores.

Here is the link to the scorecards for easy reference.

    Top Bracket:

    1. Dazza501 61

        Hanswurst72 61

        CerinoDevoti 61

    4. b0geybuster 62

        fmagnets 62

    6. Aahna 64  (6th by virtue of better back 9 of 31, and better last 6 of -3)

    7. Corwyn 64  (7th by virtue of better back 9 of 31, and worse last 6 of -2)

    -------------------

    8. sebicu 64 (8th by virtue of worse back 9 of 33, but better last 6 of -1)

    9.  Solid1 64 (9th by virtue of worse back 9 of 33, and worse last 6 of E)

    10. Ragefire 65

        Wesdogg75 65

    12. oneeyedjohn 67

    13. ColumbusStorm 68

    14. gk21al 69

So, in the top bracket, the top 7 survive the cut, with the other 7 players dropping into the Lower Bracket for the 3rd Round.

I feel terrible that the tie-breaker rule has to settle the cut-line in the top bracket, and worse, that I seem to be the beneficiary. I was certain that I'd blown it, with a dreadful bogey on the last... but as far as I can work out, it seems that I'm the lucky one to just scrape by and make the cut, based on a better back 9 than sebicu and solid1. Bad luck to the two of you. (I do feel this is an awfully cruel way to settle a tourney. We gotta talk about this, Shiner!!!)

    Lower Bracket:

10luigi10 remains to play his round (please indicate a time you'll be online, to make it easy for a marker to connect with you) ... with 66 as the target score for the top spot (which gains promotion to the Top Bracket), and other top 5 of 12 10 surviving the cut for the next round.

    1. LeGeNdCrUsHeR 66

    -----------------

    2. MBaggese 67

    3. lvietri 70

    4. borntobesting 77 (4th by virtue of better back 9 of 37)

    5. filmslayer 77 (5th by virtue of worse back 9 of 38)

    -----------------

    6.  rmchangin 77(6th by virtue of worst back 9 of 39)

    -----------------

    7. Why9 79

    8. Daboofness 80

    9. hyena64 91

So, right now, all the 77s will make the cut, but if 10Luigi10 can shoot better than 77, then the tie-break will come into effect. And, LC is still the front-runner for the promotion spot.

I think all this is right, but I'm open to being corrected. Someone else should certainly verify this (as I'm the one who appears to be benefitting from the tie-break rule).

    Luigi,

Were you able to play? Or do you still hope to... in the next couple of hours (deadline is midnight tonight WGT time)?

I'm waiting to give you every chance to play before being able to set up 3rd round pairings. I know there may be language barriers: my apologies for that... but I also have tried to PM you, and I know Daboofness made multiple attempts to connect.

If it hasn't worked out, please know that we are truly sorry!

    Corwyn
