One dream I've had about increasing the difficulty in the game play, is to do something that was an option in the Links game years back, namely to turn off the putting grid entirely. Just as it was tremendous fun to play blind unevens for a couple of days a few months back when a bug meant you couldn't see your lie properly, I can imagine it would be a fantastic challenge to putt blind, essentially from memory. I bet we'd be quite surprised at how well we could remember the breaks.
I am checking into higher/custom winds... not sure right now. As for removing grid, not going to do it even if I could because it takes skill away and lagging for pars without grid is too tricky and not as fun IMO.

personally ...i mite wouldn't mind a round or 4 with starter balls... but ...feel like i work'd to hard to get my good equipment an want to use it...

Just don't think about a 24h/48h rd tourney, please: it would become mentally tiring. :)
it'll get easier when you do it more often. next 3 weeks will be as such and then we can re-evaluate based on everyone's feedback :)
