My usual laptop computer for this is a Quad core i7 ; 8 gig RAM on windows 7.  Below a real gaming laptop but runs video rendering etc easy etc...........On that machine the dots are usually very workable, but I do see some slow slow quick movements, same as most.  Kiawah is not usually a particular problem anyway, but not free of confusion as highlighted in a previous post (go back and find it if care).  Needless to say loads always ultra low on any shot, and all flash etc all bang up to date.  Meter is usually smooth as silk etc...

Just by way of an experiment I loaded up the game on another laptop I usually just use for movie watching / a few every days things when I can't be assed getting of the couch, LOL.

The dual core N2830 Celeron Asus with 4 gig factory RAM running windows 8.1 was set up for a straight in Kiawah B9 RG.  Cheapo 50 credit RG and think I carded a crappy 32 but that was due to a different mouse, and smaller screen.  Might not think that would make a difference, I am sure it would not after a few rounds,  but straight in enough of a different feel to create some key misdings, hence the poor score.

Importantly though meter was smooth as silk, and could not argue with any green dot movement at all, and I gave myself some long putts.  Yes RAM was around 70% usage each swing, and CPU way up 65%+, but meter smooth as.  I played in fullscreen (not that wide the white bars, and OK for me), and I had the game settings on high.

Only a 50 credit RG so who cares as a free pass game and CC XP involved, and worth the test.

That don't make sense to me,i have streamed on more than 1 occasion and when my CPU Hits above 50% its never smooth. I can't stream anymore because the meter is nowhere near as stable for me now. No doubt your meter is smooth Jim but the cpu and ram figures contradict that.

Not pretending to understand it, just reporting what just seen.

I used the Advanced System Care 8 RAM / CPU usage widget, and watched it close every time.  I think this little lappy would explode if I tried streaming the game with it, LOL, but just for play it just staggered me:)

If the Advanced System Care widget is not reliable please let me know, and I will do it again with the windows one.  As a quick test it just beat the hell out of me, don't mind admitting.

EDIT: I was on wifi connection, and battery power fwiw.

I have lost faith in AscPro.

It doesn't do what it says on the the tin.

Asc 8 I use as fairy dust once a week.  Right or wrong Norton 360 is what I really rely on, and malwarebytes I also run every week too.  Same on both machines as far as that goes as well as keeping everything bang up to date with updates.

Anyway just loaded up the Windows Task Manager and the Advanced System Care widget.  Running side by side on a backswing both very similar readings.

EDIT: Tried again at BOH, and similar readings using Task Manager all the way.  Meter remained smooth as, BUT a few holes (longer putts) dots were fine, stall a bit, fine etc....Chip and pitch views were fine.  Nothing would have prevented reading a putt though, as so easy to see what the real speed should be.

I wish this would stop everyone from whining

That's a bit rich mate. Wouldn't call it whining, to have a legitimate problem that actually affects scores. And, from what I understand, it is experienced by a very large number of players.

So to raise it as an issue is a logical thing to do.

Logical for some, whining for others! Ok..

To tell you the truth, this strange multiple speed problem of the dots is not limited on BB anymore but extended in various courses. Putting has become just a guess...

If anybody doubts that this is happening....

This is the worst I've ever seen it.  Look at the three dots that are in my line.  When they are moving fast, it takes about 4.3 seconds for them to go across.  When they're slow it's over 7 seconds.

That's enough of a difference to miss a 6.5 foot uphill putt on either side of the hole, which is ridiculous.

I'm not doing anything, just sitting there.

It was like that before I started OBS for recording, so that's not the issue.

That machine has never had any problem playing WGT until the dot speed issue popped up at the same time as it did for everybody else.  It's more than powerful enough and I keep it lean and clean.

I am still seeing it every day, but looking at pitch view seems to be the correct dot speed.

I am still thinking that this might be a flash 17 issue ?

Does anyone using older flash have this issue ?

For someone starting this game, it must be impossible to learn the breaks.

I have a somewhat memory of the true breaks.

I had one person who says they are using flash version 11 who doesn't have this problem.. though it may be just a fluke and have nothing to do with flash..

On my side of things, I have maxthon update turned off, has been for about 5 months, and without maxthon updating, flash version remains the same.. and I didn't have this problem with my current version of flash, and now, since the wgt "maintenance" a while back, I have the same problem as shown in the video..

Yes, the later versions of flash might be exacerbating the problem, but still..

Or instead of just rolling back flash, maybe we could live in caves again, and play wgt on a 486 with 512KB of ram? (I'm just messing with y'all.. hope you see the funny side)..
