    No, it's not E.T's fault.

Great scott, Yiannis1970 - I didn't consider E.T might be involved. Maybe at least wgt could reply, saying "yes we've recently discovered that the dots issue you all have been having is real, and we have recently discovered E.T has been at our programming desk, messing up our code. Please accept our apologies, and we will be sending E.T back. We are just phoning home right now".

    Sold!!!

    lol

I have also said elesewhere that running adobe scout delivered around 4 to 12 fps, with a target of around 25 or 30 fps, from memory.

Can't find your prior post, I searched for 'JLeary1 adobe scout' and the two referenced posts say nothing about adobe scout.  Quite odd.  Perhaps you edited those posts?

Anyways, you do realize if WGT can only serve 4 or so frames per second the meter would be very choppy?

Meter at 4FPS would look like this:

Hard to fathom those scout reading being accurate.

Try running Chrome's built in FPS counter. It adds an FPS counter to the browser window and displays what your system is producing.  It shows WGT is delivering 40 to 60 FPS depending on the screen.

    Hahaha fatdan :)

The only time I have 0 background programs running is when my computer is turned off, lol..

LMAO, wellll give me some slack, your right though, it should read "nothing running but what is necessary to keep the pc working and play the game"...LOL

There are no frills on this pc...all that is on others.

Yes andyson, it was a post made ages ago on the forums somewhere.. That's what adobe scout gave me, very low fps over a much higher target fps.

I still very much doubt the 4 to 12 fps reading.  I've been doing FPS tests on WGT's game for a long time, since Feb, 2013, before you even joined, and never saw FPS at 4 to 12.  Always more than 30 fps.  Give the Chrome built in FPS counter a try.

    JLeary1:
    My meter is regularly jerky,

Really? That's surprising. Didn't you say you had an optimized high end PC?

I'm switching sides guys.   After watching bhoese's(who I highly respect) video this morning I decided to take another look, maybe a harder look, at my dots.  They do change speeds!  I don't know why I didn't notice or see it before, but I see it change from normal to slow to normal to slow.  I went to BPB single hole play on hole #14 knowing it had a back to front slope.

I see the dots change particularly well when 30 feet left of the front pin.  I have tons of dots on the screen as the grid is 8 squares wide by 20 squares long.  So I did some quick tests using Chrome with its FPS counter enabled and with the Windows Resource Monitor open to watch CPU usage.

30 ft left of front pin, Normal speed dots: CPU usage about 30%, FPS a steady 60 FPS

30 ft left of front pin, Slow dots: CPU usage in high teens to low 20s (about 18 to 22%), erratic FPS in the 40 to 45 FPS range.

I saw no difference turning hardware acceleration on/off in Flash.

I saw no difference enabling/disabling my Nvidea GPU vs the integrated Intel 4600.

On Waterfox (optimized for 64bit O/S)
    Similar results as Chrome.
30 ft left of front pin, Normal speed dots: CPU usage about 19 to 21%, no FPS counter on WF

30 ft left of front pin, Slow dots: CPU usage in low teens(about 12 to 14%), no FPS counter on WF

No difference turning hardware acceleration on/off in Flash.

No difference enabling/disabling my Nvidea GPU vs the integrated Intel 4600.

The CPU workload reducing with slow dots and no difference seen reconfiguring my PC  seems to indicate something in the Game Client is changing the FPS to the screen. It could be the Game Client doing other work before writing to the screen or its built in to however WGT changed the frame rate a while back.

    **edit**

I see normal speed dots and no slowdown using Chip mode to view the dots.  At least in Waterfox, not checked Chrome yet.

Played Andys all 18, and dots not much chop way too often.  I might have missed anyway, but trying to pick your way through any slope half properly is one tough job there today, and that's being too kind.

Not being funny but if some one asks what do you think of online golf,  what do I say? Yes WGT is the best, but the putting sucks at the moment is all I can say.

WGT you can't just put your head in the sand on this one.

Whatever, dude. Adobe obviously don't know how to interrogate their own software, lol..

Maybe a user problem dude!  You said it yourself.

    JLeary1:
Edit: I'm not an expert on flash, or on using scout, so I could be wrong..

And I said I was surprised your optimized, high-end PC had a jerky meter.  Didn't call you a liar.
