The Weekly Ryder
Here are some words from your Ryder Cup Captains.
Team USA Captain
JCOlson
I love this game and enjoy a great competition. I currently manage a community organized tournament called The Hustle that regularly draws the best players in this game, so I have good relationships with them and can hopefully leverage those friends to compete for the US in wgt ryder cup. I'm on frequently and have a fairly good record and ranking. I would feel privileged to represent the US team as captain.
Team World Captain

Last years Ryder Cup was a fantastic tournament to play in, the kind of pressure the Ryder Cup puts you under is intense, it is enormously enjoyable, thrilling, and nerve shredding all at the same time, and all the while its played out with a full IRC chatroom discussing your every shot!
On the subject of Captain, the USA have won this thing twice now...
THAT HAS GOT TO CHANGE!
I think any potential Captain would benefit from having played in a Ryder Cup, experienced the pressure, seen how the format worked and gained an understanding of where the USA were very strong and not so strong. The Captain needs to be an excellent strategist, very well organised, diplomatic, fair, an accomplished player and an excellent leader all rolled into one. In addition to this, real life experience of playing match play golf at a high level is an advantage, the virtual game is not so different from the real thing, and an understanding of beating the opposition as opposed to the course is vital!
What qualities do I bring? Well when Europe needed to win back the Ryder Cup, they turned to Monty, Team World should do the same! I think I have the necessary qualities, enthusiastic, determined, love to win, enjoy the strategy side, happy to lead from the front and think I have a decent reputation as a tough matchplay opponent!
Good luck to all the applicants.
Cheers
Monty
