  I may just be reaching here, but I did have a few tee shots that went low in MPC's today.

  One common occurrence in both of them, was that before I teed of, while loading, I saw my opponents putter and ball on the bottom of the screen - a left over from the previous hole.

  Usually the club and ball disappear after a shot is taken - this doesn't happen on short putts by your opponent (when the camera angle doesn't change) - or when you concede a putt to them. If you are teeing off on the next hole, you will see their club and ball at the bottom of the screen as you are loading.

   

  I will be studying this further, it may be coincidental - just wanted to make this post so that others can be watching out for it and make observations as well. Please add to this thread if you notice this pattern - or otherwise. could be very helpfull.

   

  (IN clutch situations I may not be conceding any putts if I know I'm teeing off next... Sorry guys LOL)

  I see that frequently, Bird. I always thought a slow load just backed the order of operations up and the graphics were last.

  yes Jim, I just sort of noticed the pattern to the afterimages, and thought it may have something to do with this low trajectory shot bug.

  Thanks to covenant for playing along on this goose chase. We set it up on #1 so that we halved with pars - him putting last and I conceded to him. I did see the afterimages while loading. As you can see I dinged the shot (A freaking miracle as I had my other hand over the PRTSC button lol) I think I got the image right at the apex of the shot - well likely well before, BUT no matter. I DIDN'T CLEAR THE BUNKER IN THIS WIND! that is some serious buggage.

  We puttered around and flipped the order. I conceed #2 - then we half #3 conceding putts with me putting last. Covenants tee shot on #4 did not look unusually low - i think he did ding it?? - I dinged my tee shot also. The only unusual thing was that I out drove him by about 7 yards with the S ball - he had Z balls. My tee shot was higher - but not unusual there. I did not get a screenshot - I was late getting set up for it.

  Covenant accidentally sunk his birdie on #4 (IDIOT! LMAO) - so we couldn't try it on #5. #6 is a par 3 - definitely no error there - So I dunno if my theory is correct or what. It did happen once out of 3 times, though. Maybe there is some sleight step I am missing or perhaps I'm just dead wrong.. lol

   

  Here is one from an opponent. He conceded my par on #6 just before teeing off. I know he is using the free ball, but with the R11 driver, this should still go much higher. I cannot confirm what spin he had or if he dinged it. ( I suspect he pulled this a bit - the ball rolled forever once it landed - was about a 285 yard drive) I am dead certain I got the screenshot exactly at the apex of this one - or at least at the visual apex of the graphics.

  LOL. Very nice look at it. I myself haven't seen it yet but then I'm not always paying attention to the drive itself, just the result.  Anytime.  :-)

  Hey Bird, thanks for taking the time to investigate this. It is most definitely a loading issue.

  The one time I know 100% I will get a spin glitch on a drive is when it loads and when you pull the dot down to add spin, the dot moves way below the bottom of the ball. If you try adding top spin, the dot reaches only just above mid-point of the ball. If you try driving with full back spin on this drive, it is guaranteed to go low and with no spin.

  I think I got a spin glitch on a drive in Single play for the first time recently. This drive was choked and I missed the ding by a little, but it was a full backspin drive that went low and rolled a lot.

  yes I have seen that also.

  Your replay  doesn't look all that unusual as far as trajectory. I find slightly choked drives can roll like that for no apparent reason - usually right into the burn at ST andy's #1! - that's sort of a wild deviation, something that they should probably look at also.

  The line drives are so severe, an extreme loss of loft - about 20-30 yards difference of carry. They carry really only comes into play on certain holes. RSG #2. CCC #4 - and I have had my 3w go straight out off the tee on  CCC #2 also. And today, for the first time ever, BPB#1 came into play in Sudden Death.  (oh that was so so heart breaking! lol) - that one was the eye opener here that started me on putting this together. (Still not convinced I'm 100% right though.)

  yeah I think that is right - It seems that it only happens to the player teeing off first (needs to be confirmed) And only when you see this left over image of your opponents ball while you are loading. (also needs more confirmation) - then again, perhaps this is only one of a few scenarios that cause this crazy lack of loft.

  FWIW, we should realize the normal trajectories vary considerably on normal drives

  I went out to RSG#2 and hit 3 drives, then took screen shots of the replays at the apex of the trajectory.  I overlaid the 3 screen shots below for comparison.

  

  This was a single player game.  I consider all three tee shots to be within normal deviation bounds.  Although I was disappointed at the carry of the 280yd shot downwind which cleared the bunker but not the rough. I expected a 290+ carry with an effective 8mph down wind. (By effective wind I mean that part of the 10 mph wind that adds/subtracts distance vs that part that moves the ball left and right.  I estimated 2mph left to right affect and 8mph downwind [dw] affect on the ball.) 

  Here are the 3 replays:

  280 yd carry, 8 dw, dinged

  289 yd carry, 6 dw, slight pull

  268 yd carry, 11 hw, dinged

  Someone will notice the difference in hole yardage between the screenshot above and the replays.  The in game replays showed 413 yds for RSG #2.  I screen shotted in game. The saved replays show 395 yds for RSG #2.  Go figure.  Why not since the hole numbers in the replays are also wrong!  Just another inconsistency in the game.  Maybe I should clear my caches and all will be better?  NOT!

  The trajectorys for your 3 shots are exactly what I would expect for those shots IRL. 

  Everything else being equal, a downwind drive will be lower, whereas one hit into a headwind will have a higher trajectory.  I'd agree that the difference on these is definitely within normal deviational boundaries.

  PS: You do realize that Cally's will carry those bunkers even into a headwind, right? lol  And I'm fairly sure that WGT would recommend using only Cally's for all testing purposes....preferably the vapour trail version.  No point in using the cheap ones!  (*wink*)
