  Interesting on the putts, other than meter speed, starter ball vs Nike, seem to roll the same for me.

  There is a big difference between the "starter" putter and the" beginner" putter.

  I hated the starter putter but the beginner(now discontinued)is very smooth and forgiving.I tried the Rosa and even the Nike.I just can't seperate from the beginner.Some legends are still using it.Too bad no one can buy it anymore;might of been free I don't remember.

  Just as an added piece of interest I am a legend and have started using the GI2SD2 legend balls and I am not that far behind the nike balls ok they don't have the spin the nikes have but they don't seem to get affected by the wind as much as nikes or cally's either.

  I did leave that out of my opinion of the Nike. THE WIND.  Offsetting the wind with the Nike ball was a puzzle to me. Not only did I know what was supposed to happen when I measure wind with a shot with my Ds, I had a new animal to contend with with the Nike. The Nike seemed to be unpredictable when determining the wind for about the same wind resistance on different courses. It seemed like a crapshoot. The ball would do one thing one time and another thing another time when I was used to the D ball being consistent and dead on with being able to determine wind factors.
  
  Good point. I don't care what course you are on. If you can't dial in the wind factor with consistency, it is the ball that is the problem. The Nike ball has this problem.
  
  I found the Nike to be over exaggerated to the point where I didn't know what the dang ball would do on any given situation. I will never forget that green incident where the ball should have stopped on the green but just scooted another 50 yards into some sand. As I watched it do this I said, "that's it, this ball is a load of crap....I can't play a great round with this kind of BS effecting my game"! I still got par on that hole but I should have had a birdie because I hit a perfect shot to the flag.

  You know, through this whole thread, I haven't had anyone tell me that a Calloway or Srixon ball might be better than the Nike or the 12-D.... that is the subject here......Interesting!

  I did find the SD ball a good ball also. I just didn't get that slower meter speed with my putting that I missed. I see that there is a set of Rocket clubs plus the Ping G-20s with the slower meter speed.
  
  I will try the SD2 when I get to the level where I can purchase them. I saw those, but again, I am not at that level where I can buy them. Looking forward to these balls making a difference in my game.

  I think I kept mine too. I liked it but for some reason, the Rossa was great because of the 15, 30, 60, 90, 150 meter. I can't tell you how many times I have said to myself, all of the putters should have this scale. ......it is absurd to not have this scale when putting.
  
  While the putter is a good one, without this scale to measure your putts or to make it easier to measure your putts when going uphill or downhill, it doesn't make sense to me to do without this scale. That was my whole reason for searching for a new putter.

  I didn't like the spider putter which could be a great one too .....because the meter selections seemed absurd.

  While I understand the feel that the beginner putter has, without this advanced meter, it has a major drawback to me.

  MBaggese,

  I too used only the unlimited balls for quite some time. It has only been recently that I have used credits for balls.

  I can tell one difference, distance and stopping. The distance seemed to make more of an issue for me before I got the Ping G-10s. Now, with these clubs, (virtual clubs), I know the clubs control the ball and the ball is only a bit of a help to get you over that hump to play under par.

  If I get the G-20s, that should give me a better distance with a slower meter speed, I might go to the unlimited balls again.

  Right now, I am giving the 12-S ball a second try. I think the Nike ball really screwed up my game & for the last ten days, I have been trying to get my mojo back.

  Maybe this 12-S ball is the key. It is like starting over where I like the 12-D before I tried that stinkin Nike ball.
