I prefer the 90 sec clock, but rarely take the 90 seconds to hit a shot. Sometimes the game doesn't load the zoom/reverse view or on some crazy putts you may need the extra time, but as long as you aren't using up the whole 90 secs for every shot, that's what matters to me.
Although, I sometimes play better with a shorter shot clock since I don't have as much time to second guess myself.
