    nirvananikkia7x:

Shockingly, I agree with Rob or more like it shows he agrees with the OP and myself.

You might ask yourself why he does so.

    nirvananikkia7x:

Alosso, first off you are officially an idiot.

    *bows to the applause*

Should I say, you must talk like an idiot to be understood by idiots?

OTOH, I said no word against equal rights or pro sexism. I just asked why WGT etc. should be in charge of equal rights rather than being lead by business objectives. I received no answer yet.

Furtheron, there is only one person objecting to me reasonably, that's you. The other two have failed to qualify with unreasonable utterings, especially this "Ron", who is apparently chasing coattails - "Thread for Nikki".

Look back how many reasonable questions from me he left unanswered, repeating "they are wrong!" After his campaign of no arguments he even declared himself to be a winner - LOL.

    nirvananikkia7x:
WGT never advertised whether or not it was a male or female avatar they were going to hand out to those who played that one tournament. They just advertised that you WILL get a free avatar upon the completion of the tournament. They should know by now that there are both male and female users in WGT. So surely they should have made it so they would please both sides and make it so you have the choice of a male or female avatar? If they can make one to hand out for free, surely it's not that much work to make another to please EVERYONE on WGT. Isn't that the goal of business? That everyone leaves satisfied.

I'm glad that you come to a point which matters: Business.

From that perspective, it looks as if their decision is disputable. Women were left out for good, but not only them: coloured ppl fail to find "their" avatar, too.

So, it's not one avatar missing but at least three:

    - white female,
    - coloured female,
    - coloured male.

Regarding a reverse situation: I'm left out, too, because I won't play with a Lexus cap. Followers of other brands are discriminated, too (really?) Should I complain for a BMW version (white male for me please)?

    nirvananikkia7x:
So the female members of WGT (such as myself) having heard that you will get a free avatar for completing one tournament, only to find out that WGT set it up so that we will be getting a male avatar as well. [...] so why should we even bother doing that tournament in the first place?

Are you telling me that a free avatar was your only (or primary) objective to play this free tournament? You're kidding, aren't you?

There's a German saying, "If you get a horse for free, don't look into its mouth" (the teeth would show its age). This is like every gift we may get at the entry of a shop or a golf tournament: Many take it because it's free, regardless of the use they'll have for it. I have taken home tons of such garbage without complaining.

    nirvananikkia7x:
Yeah there are more guys on here than girls, but that isn't a good enough reason to forget the girls that actually do play the game...

I see this as WGT's risk. Maybe some womens' rights supporters will quit the game(?)

I know I haven't convinced you, nor will you convince me. An agreement to disagree may be the outcome. At least, each has her/his arguments - I Iike this, except for the libelling at the start.

    'such fun'

every once in a while I take the time to visit one of these forums just to see what's going on and fused with a bit of healthy curiousity. And every time I'm immediatly reminded why I so rarely visit in the first place. Pointless and endless discussions between people who don't necessarily have something to say but strongly believe they need to be heard(and yes, I realise by posting this msg I'm joining the club). Harassment, name-calling, insulting, ... ! Is that what we all need? Is that what makes us all enjoy our lives so much more? What makes me feel particularly sad is that I see people here who've had very bad experiences in the past with this sort of thing but just don't seem to stay away from it. Maybe you can all try to get along for a change. You might be surprised of how good it feels.
