Now and again (ok quite often) I hit a bad approach shot and although make it onto green it's miles from the hole.
I play with people who are very good at punching on the green rather than putting at long range. When I ask what formula they use they say "double the yardage and add 10". I have tried this and always end up miles passed the hole.
I use Z Satin wedges and they use Clevelands so I reckon there's a different formula. Had a wee practice today and adding 15-20 seems to be more like it although I wasn't getting as close to the hole as I would like.
Any help much appreciated . .
p.s. I know to use b/spin when punching on the green . .
p.s.s. I did the search thing to see if there any tips but couldn't see any . .
