Always in matchplay challenge game menu i seem to come across more level 85 to 95 pro's than other competitors.  If some one is a level 80 or 90, they should automatically be moved up to master because to be at that level, obviously you could achieve a number of rounds at -2 to get average under 70 which is getting to master status anyway.  These people are clearly avoiding ranked rounds or purposely score 40 in 9 holes and just want to play matchplay for $$ as a pro, so moving them up to master would be a good proposition.

I agree, if they're "that bad" that they can't tier up, then surely they wouldn't be playing MPC's...

Such a "fix" should be applied as a programming loop within the MPCs and other cash games so it doesn't impact the majority of players registered at this site who are simply casual players, may or may not have those skills and don't risk their credits and money on those games.

    Or,

Don't allow cash games like MPCs to be played against someone outside your tier unless you've achieved Master (or Tour Master, or Legend, or whatever you want).

One thing for sure... Sandbaggers and cheaters are the same here as on real-life golf courses and cause problems for everyone else.

Perhaps a screen as you're entering match play could display a player's last 20 matches against players from each tier prior to your accepting the match? A Pro who is 18-2 vs Legends and 20-0 against Masters is going to have a difficult time finding a game.

I do believe there are many genuine high level pro's TP's, masters, etc that may just not be quite good enough to tier up, but I highly doubt you will find these players in the MPC lobbies.

I would suggest simply including MPC's results in the formula currently used to determine when a player tiers up.

Is it possible to leave a game prior to it starting after seeing someones stats? (tier, avg etc.)  The reason I ask is because I have not played any match play and do not know how it works exactly.  Can you see there stats and then leave without there being any  repercussions?  Just curious.

+1 the way players move up through tiers need some fine tunning. I was thinking... if you buy a 270+ yards driver you should be moved automaticaly to the master tier, or other type of clubs with +master status too... just an idea.

Why do you single out only Pro's? I've seen level 50+ hacks before. Tons of such cases

I'm a level 58 pro and I have all starter clubs, 75.5 average

but now each match my average  barely goes down, so to drop the last 3.5 points, I may have to upgrade to clubs. I'm not going to upgrade until I get into those 70 and 80s levels.

You can't JUST look at levels and say 'upgrade them', clubs are important to look at too. If you had someone level 85 and all nice upgraded clubs then sure, I could understand the problem, but you didn't mention clubs.

They may as well just have admins look into stuff like that. i played with a guy whose optional clubs were "starter hybrid starter hybrid ez swing sand wedge sand wedge ez swing lob wedge"

... obviously he was up to something.

That is almost like a snap of the finger you are a new tier. That would really suck. One minute your a pro and you buy a driver and wam bam ty mam your a master or tour master for not trying to play a game. I don't think so.

So I guess the people that really suck at this game are screwed if they did that. They would never ever get there average down.

Plus, the very good players don't need anymore things handed to them on a silver platter. Make it hard for the crap players and easier for the good players. Makes no sense to me.

That is like someone that has never played golf in their days, went and bought full set of clubs like r11's, and all of a sudden they can just as good as the best players on tournaments in real golf. Now that sounds stupid to me. You have to play the game to know the game. Not buy some clubs then automatically your a best player.

Master at a 90+ average. That would suck.
