Sorry if this has been posted, but I'm having problems a few times a round. Cost me two points. When I take the club back and before I click my mouse to hit, there's a stall. Why is this happening all of the sudden ?

It happens to me from time to time.  As long as you don't click when the power meter reaches the white line, it will not count as a stroke.  Some use that technique as a practice stroke to judge how fast the power meter is going.

Also from what I have read here if things are looking a little jittery it is always a good idea to take a practice swing anyway as the second swing MOSTLY goes well

    Hope that helps

Hey Golfforfunguy... this is a well known issue around these parts.  If you look through the forums you will see many many posts regarding the 'meter'.... jerky, stuttering, jumping, hits, fits, starts and farts....

It is quite common.  There are as many causes for this as there are folks who are complaining about it.

The best thing to do, in game, when you start to notice it is, like said above, take a practice swing.  Just let the line go all the way right without trying to click the hit line... Once, or even twice, should allow you to make a shot.

Also, search out 'cache clearing' in the blogs, troubleshooting and forums.  Because this game is dynamic (changing every day it seems) it is a good idea to keep the computer clean of old files and whatnot.

Hope this helps.  Enjoy your stay and welcome!

    Peace.
