    IMMED:

I would like to know what it takes to shoot a 50 on a course which advertised extreme difficulty.  I could barely reach the green for a one putt on a lot of these holes and guys are shooting -20.  I do need to upgrade clubs but my driver goes 245 with no wind and it took me probably 50 tries to hit a 75.

Then on round 2 was brutal playing bogie golf to my own fault but again guys are shooting high 50's with mostly 15-20mph headwinds.  Someone please help me understand what it takes to get there.

I'm no hack when it comes to these games but can't shake this feeling that some have an edge of some kind that I'm not seeing.

Bethpage was a very hard course and credit to that but after so many tries just trying to break par and seeing players shooting such low scores is rather discouraging.

Right off the bat I'd say experience, clubs and ball are the reason the greats play great. A course like Bethpage with the uphill appraoch shots really needs irons and a ball that spin a lot. Also, in this Tourney everyone was playing from the same tees. The final round you played from tha far back tees. I think your score wasn't bad at all considering equipment and playing from the Championship tees with Championship green speed.

it would be nice for all of us to have shots reacting normally to wind,

Did you video the game and save any replays as suggested?

Also, go check out the Mutiny thread in the WGT Beta section; I have posted a reply showing that you did not hit the ding as you say you did.

Well I thought it was great, and the occasional 2 round tournament is a great idea for those that are not home all the week. I guess it would have been nice to have a tiered system for the lesser abled players although their own tournament might be a better way to go. But thanks WGT I enjoyed it, and 118th place gave me a warm feeling.
