When people join your country club, credits are added to the country club.  What are they for?  Can these credits be used for private tournaments?  The FAQ for private tournaments says there must be an entry fee in order to have a purse.  Not sure I understand the reason for the country club having credits.

These credits can't be used. The only purpose they have as far as I can see is in the WGT ranking of Country Clubs ie The Deviations are the number one ranked club in relation to the number of members they have and the credits their members have accumulated. Ranked rounds come into the equation as well but gets too confusing for me to figure out lol.

If you go to WGT Community and then Country Clubs you can see where your club ranks. There's also a tab on there where you can see where your club ranks within the country your club resides in.

The Lobsters Lair Country Club is the number one club on WGT as far as I'm concerned . . . but I could be biased :)

    Thanks cycleboy and Lobsterboy,

Suspected that since it seemed too easy and I had a member join and quit and the credits went up and down the same amount and nothing was ever mentioned as to pooling or communal credits as far as country clubs were concerned.

    Now I have another question.

The rules state that in order to have a cc purse it is necessary to create an entry fee for the tourney, but what I want to know is if the cc owner can create the purse if that is desired.  Not really trying to boost membership cause I would only like friends in my cc, don't care about size, just play among friends.

But I would like to have tourneys that would yield credits to the winner of a tourney that could be based on handicaps or such (keep it on even terms for members that aren't on the same tiers) that would allow cc members to purchase clubs, balls, misc, hat they would otherwise not be able to purchase or want to purchase.  Possibly get them on a par with other members and give all members the chance or bragging rights.

Don't mean to be windy, but is it possible to set up a cc tourney that has a purse but a nominal entry fee that wouldn't necessarily match the fee total?  A purse that the cc owner would primarily offer?
