  It gets a new IP and that solves my problem on the cable line at home. It's also one of the repairs Windows suggests when you are trying to repair your connection. Cold booting does the same thing.

  I have went from over 80% games finished to in the 50% in 3 days because the game freezes up or flash screws up or an error while playing in a game, This is *** and wgt needs to give us all 5000 in credits for tjhis travesty, I am about feed up with this game,

  Thanks.  Always good to learn something.  Turns out there is information cached in the router which can age (is no longer correct).  Renewing the IP gets the new info even if the new IP is the same as the old one.
