i can't imagine anything more convenient than Skyping before & while playing ..

This is exactly why, in my opinion, WGT will never dedicate time and resources to provide an "in game chat" feature.

That's like asking us to create and maintain an internet search engine within WGT - why would we spend time and money developing something that is already provided by many different companies and is widely accessible for free?

Twitch.tv is a fantastic solution to this request, and Skype will also do the job. I could continue the list, but I think you get the picture.

we often laugh so much that the game goes to hell,

LMAO, and I thought it was only our club that got dopey on Skype.

Crikey we have joke telling sessions "guess this tune" , its a riot some nights and yes, the game goes to pot.

But with alt games it doesnt really matter.

Chads response to this in the most recent Chat with MisterWGT was basically the end of game "Re-Match' option to continue chat after the game.

The problem with that is that no one really wants to re-match the same course.

Perhaps this button could be renamed to something like 'Game Chat'.

I dont agree with Pizza boys response of 'crating a whole new internet search function.

A small chat client with an oiption to hide is no big deal, the chat client could incorporate public rooms and CC rooms.

Many folks dont have the nouse or system resources to run a seperate chat client. As it is many of our skype users can sometimes be confused as to the different windows they have to manage.

I would also like to see a 'mini' forum. In CC Tournament pages. Members could chat about that tournament, providing tips, encouragement etc.

All the data here can be purged 30 days after the event.

"{This is exactly why, in my opinion, WGT will never dedicate time and resources to provide an "in game chat" feature.}"WOW!! I never heard of something so wrong and arrogant from a company. Talk about not listening to your client base. Yes you are the "company" when you respond to topics here. You already have the base for it in the game client all that has to be done is expand it.

Just because there are many different free chat clients out there doesn't mean WGT shouldn't have their own. Why should members have to use 3 third party software just to communicate with each other here. If WGT want their clientele to enjoy a full featured game this should of been added on day one.

Many players use older equipment that use up resources when they use that third party stuff and then they cannot play the game with it running. Others might not want to have so much unneeded junk on their computer. Many of those chat software programs that are free and some that are not have spyware in them to watch where you go on the internet just like you have on your site.( To direct ads).

Did I miss where Twitch can do voice conferencing?  All I saw was a live video feed and a very basic chat capability.  So I think you got it backwards, Skype is the fantastic solution with real time voice communication.  Twitch's capability for chat is very basic but will do the job.

WGT doesn't really need to develop much they already have a chat client in the game and all they need to do is expand acess. As for the use of skype or other programs players that are using lower end computers or have slower connections will have one heck of a time with "meter skip".  One of the biggest problems with the meter is system resources and over using them. If you think you have had enough whinning about meter problems wait till people start opening 2nd and 3rd windows to chat.
