Does seem a bit unfair, should be the same for all.  imo...Andy

It's not the same for everyone in real life so why should it be on here?

    I beg to differ Sir

If there was a real life tournament being played at any course...would it not be the same conditions for all players on the day?

    Just wondering

    Nope, Steves' right IMO   :)

Someone teeing off at 9am might have hardly no wind and a clear sunny day. 3pm tee off you could have 20mph winds and rain..

Seen it all too often, especially at certain Open Tournies, like George or Andrew over 'ere..

    I stand corrected then.

Not being a real life player, I never looked at it from that perspective, but yes, I can see how the wind etc would vary at different times of the day.

The heavy wind for 99% of the tournies is getting old. Oh, you can have moderate wind on the UK courses but they blow hard at moderate.

I seriously doubt the randomness, maybe within certain parameters. There is a par 5 back 9 Kiawah.. never seen a strong wind there.. the strongest is 12...even when you may get over 20 on all  the other holes... There are par 3's you rarely avoid a tailwind...and some others you more often get the uncomfortable ones. It is random but I think they prioritize or give a higher percentage to some. Maybe I am wrong but that is what I have seen so far.
