St. Andrews plays one direction on the front nine and the opposite direction on the back nine. If the wind isn't variable, the back nine will have the same wind for every hole. Talking the real course, here.

Winds on here are random. One round you might get headwind on every hole or tailwind or a god mix. It all depends on luck.
Been in a few RGs on St A's lately and whichever way the winds blowing, I was wondering are they the same for all 50 players or is it 'pot luck' whether you get cross / tail / head ?? .....Andy

Pot luck. You can get the worst possible wind on every hole, while the next guy gets favorable winds on every hole. That's why I stay away from heavy wind ready-go's. Too much of a lottery for my liking.

Just thought it would be a better test to see who could shoot best under the same conditions ? ..But hey, I don't mind..invariably finish top 10 anyway...Andy
It's a simple programming task.
If hole == par 5 OR score == good
wind = headwind
deviation = maximum
else
leave poor sucker alone
play low wind RGs/tourneys...see how you stack up...low winds won't affect the outcome, IMO.
