Hello Jim, I did what you said went to my profile, clicked on view all friends, right clicked to new tab..but alot of options appear. Which one do I click on after I have "right clicked" on "friends".

When you're on your profile and right click on one of your friend's avatars and choose the top option the window that opens is the same one as if you went directly to their profile. It sounds like you're doing this correctly. At the top of their page is the Remove Friend button. Just click that, confirm and close the window.
