    MelsDaddy:
the negative is as stated the g20 master irons are now obsolete...

No not really. For some even the slower meter speed of the Rocket Bladez would be too fast and they will stick with the G20's.Many players who used the Raptures will go for G20's because the meter speed of the G20's is so close to the Raptures.

First, I logged in this morning to find two sleeves of Srixon balls had found their way into my bag. Shock. Wow. Really? Deep grattitude to Tommyknocker and ibprime for your generosity - in both words and deeds. Thank you. May such kindness double back on you & your loved ones right quick.

Second, I appreciate the kind feedback & advice from Roger & ladris.

I agree with your initial statement, borntobesting. The slower meter speed of the L59 G20's allowed me to play the WGT B-ES 10 credit balls and still focus on learning courses, conditions, various shots, all while not struggling (too much) with near-hitting the ding.

The meter speed of the RocketBladez isn't exactly akin to a leisurely stroll in the park. Hitting them requires some focus and decent hand-eye coordination. A primary reason for my review was motivation to let players such as myself, of mediocre skill, know they shouldn't be afraid to try the RocketBladez due to past reports of the now deceased L79 Burners.

I'll reiterate one point I believe can't be overemphasized: the slower meter speed of the L59 G20's can make a real difference to folks using WGT balls with '0' feel. There are a ton of players here who cannot afford to play Nikes, Callies, Srixons, or even upper level WGT balls.

Which leads me to a final point - thanks to WGT for providing access to this game gratis. I worked for a number of years in Seattle for an e-commerce organization (customer service, no-less), so I have a bit of a feel for what it is ya'll do to make this possible. It ain't easy...

    Best - Rich

Welcome to the Forum.... A very good Post too.

R11's are the best Irons....  The only Probs is they have a warp speed meter at the moment. Not sure is that in relation to the new Irons we have.

I would like to see a R11 set with the same specs with a slower meter speed, if this could be done.... even at a very high level....lol

Anyway... reading the reports for the new Irons....  they are pretty good :)

    -Roger

Roger, I think the R11's are the best irons out there. It does take a while to learn the swing speed. What helps me immensely is the Level 34 slow meter Callaways.

I always upgraded when possible, the R11's level 90 (at the time) were a big jump from the slower meter G20's which i loved. Making Legend was the reason I went to the R11's because of the much longer approach shots, and the extra spin to stop a lower numbered iron.

It would have been nice if the R11 iron meter speed would have been the same as the driver and 3 wood meter speed.

    just my two cents.

    Mike  (mgbirish)

good luck all whatever your iron decision is, hit 'em straight!

I got the r11 irons(bout 2 weeks ago) and as you get used to the meter they really are a massive step up from the g20 l59 set,

I am looking forward to the R11 Irons too (I am still a few weeks away from lvl 90) but must admit the meter speed does concern me. I do use the r11 driver and have few problems with that but after the G20s the R11 irons do look like warp speed. Any advice on dealing with this (and I don't want to revert to a Max ball lol).

As the OP stated, getting long irons to stop is critical from the longer approaches. There are a few holes with a high elevation which the G20s can't hold, I am hoping the R11 irons will solve this problem

best to get all clubs in more or less the same mtr speed range .. the mtr on the R11 is fast yeah, same as Burners .. takes some gettin' used to .. but after a while i think u'll realize that actual mtr speed isn't the main culprit .. it's havin' a unholy mixture of mtr speeds in ur bag that causes problems ..

i played the G20 driver & Burners for long time & often struggled goin' from 11am on the driver to 1pm on the Burners .. since i got the R11 drivers things started to go better .. now with the Bladez i got all my clubs at 12pm .. what a pleasure

will get the R11's also since i always keep 2 sets of irons .. but the Bladez are really a joy to play with .. slightly slower on the mtr, a tad more forgiving i've noticed & the exact same Burner overall performance ..

don't get frustrated with that fast mtr on the R11's .. takes more than few days to get used to
