When playing putting in real golf a good player makes sure on a downhill putt to get it past the hole.  Three reasons, you want a chance to make it, if you miss you want to see the break coming back, and importantly, you want an uphill putt coming back.

I'm going on a limb here but I'd say that on WGT you have another downhill putt about 80 or 90% of the time.  This is not only impossible, but takes a lot of realism from playing on WGT.'\

    Just sayin......

I haven't noticed the downhill putt both ways as much as 80 or 90% of the time, but agree that it does happen from time to time.

However,  that is NOT impossible actually.   If the putt starts off downhill, and rolls past the cup but the green beyond the cup starts to slope back uphill then you will actually have another downhill putt.

I have seen it here as well as on real life courses.   Same goes for uphill both ways, if the cup happens to be on a high point of the green.

This is why I, and many here also, will slide the aimer around on the green when reading putts; to see what the green does around the hole.

If you keep the ball close to the hole and refer to the arrow on the aimer, you'll have that impression frequently. Alas, arrow down with 0 inch indicated does not always mean downhill, it may be a misleading error.

Look around on the greens and you'll certainly see the truth: If the grid is red somewhere in front of you, it's downhill, if the red is behind you, it's uphill.

Some good examples are on BPB, e.g. ##8, 11 and 13.

It's all a joke. Side hill putt miss and rolls down hill but, SURPRISE, it is down hill back to the hole. and, yeah,, 80-90% of the time.

that makes some sense because these hole locations are us open . brittish open, therefore they are harder than usual and often located in a bowl or something....
