Does anyone know if perhaps there is a magical "Putting Elf" living in a tree somewhere on the courses who, once captured, can no longer spinkle his magic pixie dust on the greens so they putt contrary to the laws of physics?

Seriously, the green speed on Tournament setting, particulary Oakmont, is so ridiculous as to drive people away.

Just tossin' that out for what its worth.

They're fast, there is no doubt about that, but it's not absurd.

Have you been watching the U.S. Open? I'm very content dealing with Oakmont after seeing what they are up against.

Tournament green speeds only happen a few times a year, so I highly doubt it's actually driving people away.

Keep playing and you'll get used to it.

Follow-up from way long ago.  I took a long absence from WGT, but returned recently and have come to love Tournament settings for green speeds.  Actually, I don't like anything slower now.  However, and not a complaint, but the greens on Whistler can kiss my big, fat, butt.  I don't know why they don't like me.
