  What does this mean?

   

  Because I assure you...

  "% Putts Made from 0 - 5 Feet 41.64%"

  ...I don't miss more than 50% of my putts from inside 5 feet.

  Plus I notice that percentage seems to go up and down pretty significantly from round to round (3 to 5 100th of a percentage) even though I've hit more that 12,500 putts. How could a single missed putt or two affect a percentage to that degree out of a sample of more than 10,000?

   

  Just curious - what does this number actually mean and how is it calculated?

  I could be wrong, but what I think it means is 41% of the putts you made were from 0 -5 ft

  I thought of that as well...except that if this were the case, then the total of the percentages would add up to 100%...and as you can see...

   

  % Putts Made from 0 - 5 Feet	41.65%
  % Putts Made from 5 - 10 Feet	11.39%
  % Putts Made from 10 -25 Feet	4.42%
  % Putts Made from 25 - 50 Feet	0.23%
  % Putts Made from 50+ Feet	0.01%

   

  ...they do not.

  I think you are missing it.

  Think of it as your first putt on that hole;

  • if its within 5 ft you are successful 41.65% of the time.
  • if its greater than 50 ft you are successful 0.01% of the time.

  If you are looking at the totals, add the putts made... that should equal your total putts.

  Just curious - what does this number actually mean and how is it calculated?    You missed 58.45% of your putts from 0 to 5 ft.. I look at the glass as half empty.. I'm WGT Tour Pro Scott2mee..   And like I said, there is no way I...or any other Tour Master...misses 58% of his putts inside 5ft.

  This is just WGT's daft way of expressing putts made. It is as a %age of total putts taken, not as a %age of total putts taken from that range.

  If you add in the %age of total putts that you missed from 5 feet, %age missed from 5-10 etc, the figures would add up to 100.

  Won't add to 100%. Suppose you 3-putt from 4 feet. That's one putt made from 0-5 feet. The other two disappear (they don't go for anything over 5 feet). As fmagnets says, you'd have to add in missed putts in all ranges to get 100%.
