Upgrading apparel?

  What does upgrading apparel do for you or your game?  Is it worth the 50,000 coins to upgrade a piece of apparel?

  Update:  Disregard the question. I paid 50,000 coins to upgrade a clothing article and got 2 extra yards out of my driver.  Big freaking whoop!  No more upgrading!

  It's funny the regularity with which this kind of thread appears. You'd think WGT might update their FAQ page a bit about a number things that people keep asking questions about. In the meantime, Scott will be here soon to answer your question.

  Depends on the gear. Generally yes, it is.

  There’s not much you can use them for other than that. Coin room entry fees, and renting terrible clubs. That’s it.
