....WGT created a positive buzz about ANYTHING?

It's sad.  I have followed this place for going on four or five months here.  And, while that's not nearly as long as some of you, I have noticed a decline in the quality of product.  I have noticed a decline in the consistency of the game.  And, I have noticed an increase in the negativity surrounding both the site and it's "changes."

If I ran a business, creating positive buzz would be a top priority.  If I saw overwhelming complaints, with little positive to balance things out, I'd be concerned at a minimum.  I certainly wouldn't go on with my head in the sand.........and charge more and toss out more gimmicks.

It's as if you see the end coming and are trying to squeeze every lost drop from the cow's teet as you sink further and further.  Shameful and embarrassing.

I can tell you I am now just waiting for the next game to come along.  WGT, you fail to hold my interest.  You have shown me a complete inability to listen to your consumer base AND a complete inability to adapt.

I agree with what you are saying about lack of consistency.

Played one game - could not do anything wrong - miss the ding - did not matter - was either on the green or in the middle of the fairway - putts - did not matter if I hit the ding or not - break was always right (even with putts that should have missed) shot a 27 or 28 - would have given anyone a run for their money

Played another game, except this time, nothing would go right - hit the ding, and would end up in the rough - not matter what - could not make a putt - would 3 putt from 6 feet. I think that round was about 47.

Now, I know I am not a good enough player to shot in the 20's, but I am also a better player than to be shooting in the mid to high 40's

What I do not understand is why people play for money (credits) in this game, when your skill does not matter - is whether you were lucky enough to the WGT's VEM working for you.

They seem to have a remarkably knack of turning what should be positives into negatives either by introducing new bugs or with a big pricejack.

We should all be saying "great, there's a new CTTH course" but instead all the focus is on the elite collection.

IMO elite collection issue was just a catalyst,
there are much deeper issues that have resurfaced,
particularly credit&ball robbing BUGS and VEM issues.

    gmaster007:

ball robbing BUGS and VEM issues.

It has got ridiculous yet again...

App' shot #1 St.A's.........63yds to cup......6mph - 11pm forward wind..Move marker to 75yd point..almost 100% power..shooting for 12yds past hole with 80yd Cleveland fb'spin..(requires 77yds) ..I am aware of the 11-12yds backspin I get on this hole, and enjoy watching it land at 75yd mark & spin back to the hole playing this shot...

    Amazingly..lands at 56yds and spins back into the water..nearly 20yds short...tyvm VirtuallyEatingMoney.

This is just one example of very many over the last week...I would also like to know just how many players who have played the new c.t.t.h course have not lost a ball there already.

Soon as my last remaining Cally has finished,..I am going to stick with G13-S balls,..funny how rarely bad things happen with them.

All the minor issues with the game, that could and should be fixed, will not be fixed. This would result in fewer lost balls (loss of revenue), fewer players rushing to upgrade equipment, because they are currently satisfied with how they are progressing with their current sticks (loss of revenue). If you haven't jumped up and bought the best equipment you can for your level, I would hold off until the game shows some improvement. I have the best equipment in the pro shop, other than my putter. I have no problem with fairways or greens in regulation, other than my occasional screwup with my finger. I have rented and tried every top putter. I choose to stay with my old one. I just find it such a coincidence, that the only part of my game that is suffering now is my putting. I have a chance for a birdie putt, and the occasional eagle at least 7 holes out of 9. When the putt is 4.3 feet dead flat, dots showing no movement at all, tournament greens, set up for 4 feet, ding the shot and it either stops .02 short or takes off from the putter right or left, then this is programmed, pure and simple. I used to hit that putt 3.5 feet and it went in with speed to spare. A while back I rented the top of the line putter, played 8 rounds with it. I was dropping putts like they were rolling down a track in a gum ball machine. I did not invest in this putter. My Daytona has been terrible since I put it back in my bag. Like I said, I have the best irons and woods in the game, I use the top Nikes, they are working just fine, until a more expensive set comes out. This is not a conspiracy theory, it is the facts of my game and how it turns out, round after round after round. A 33 is the best I can expect, even when I start out 3 under. I don't play for credits, just for fun, and I don't see the need to invest in a new putter, knowing damn well a better one will be introduced for an ungodly price, and just make mine obsolete again. Sorry it has to be just a Coincidence.
