  I suggest to you a 100, 75, & 50 yd wedge combination.

  I would agree with that. I have 60, 75 and 90 myself and have no complaints.

  I think wedges are a very important club. Putting from 2 yards rather than 5 makes a big difference. They can also get you out of bunkers or rough.

  You all ROCK! I feel totally confident with my wedge decision, which takes into consideration everything everyone has offered up in this thread. Another factor is credits. So, based on all the great advice, my weapons of choice:

   

  Ping 52*      100yd

  Ping 60*        75yd

  TM ATV 64*   50yd

   

  I believe due to my first thread, introducing myself, someone was crazy enough to invite me to join their Country Club. I actually respectfully declined at first, wanting to learn my new clubs, gather experience first.

   

  I then went to the CC site, Old Yankee. A new CC, consisting of mainly Pro's, shooting high 70's-80's.

   

  I then begged Old Yankee to please let me join. New CC, new players, new experiences. So while I have enough credits to buy the best, most expensive clubs, I'm going to purchase good clubs and start a "Development Fund" for these new up-and-coming players, some I believe cannot earn credits like players in the States.

   

  Time for me to take all this great advice to the Pro Shop, make my informed buying decision thanks to all of you, and learn how to play golf over again. I can't wait to play tourney's with this great community. And look out. There's a new CC in town, Old Yankee. We'll be hosting tourney's, complete with virtual BBQ's and Ales.

   

  Thanks again for all the advice. Now, my advice to all of you is to wear hardhats if you see me on the course. FORE!

  I bought the pings to complement the K15s I got - chosen primarily on price and the fact that I will need to go back to the well and fill the gaps when I reup my irons. While I  haven't  used the others I can tell you that they'll make a huge difference in your game. Moreover it will save you some credits until you need something later down the road.  Also the meter difference is not that hard to get used to and the delta between the G20s and the ping wedges aren't that great.  BTW the Ping 64 at 60 yards seems to work well for me on the shorter shots - I too thought I needed a 50 yard club but am working it out just fine.

  Don't forget yo can use the punch on the wedges, if I remember correctly the punch on the 60yarder is 48 yards. Change the spin around and it'll go 52 yards on the punch.

  I would have waited until level 60 and got the 54 degree 105 yard Ping. That is what I use for my 3rd wedge. The other wedge that I often use as my third wedge is no longer available. The 54 degree 110 yard Taylor Made Z Satin. It was replaced by the ATV. I rented it during the free rental weekend and it in my opinion is not as good as the club it replaced. My other 2 wedges are the 60 degree 80 yard Cleveland punches to 68 and the 64 degree 60 yard Cleveland punches to 50 but using avatar moves it will cover down to around 25. Using punch  and spin control ie using only slight added b/s or adding t/s you plus using avatar moves you can fill in the gaps of your wedges very well, Also the 64 degree Cleveland around the green can be a live saver. Using chip and pitch it is very accurate. I make at least 2 or 3 chip-ins and pitch-ins every week with it.

  Still getting used to these clubs. Have dropped my average one stroke within 5 days and produced two chip-in eagles!

  The best way you can learn your clubs and distances is practice practice and practice. 

  The top players spend a lot of time practicing holes or courses that give them trouble.

  You don't have to play ranked rounds, just get on a course in practice mode set the conditions how you want and just hit shots. 

  Kiawah #1 is a great place to start. This advice was given to me by my CC owner and he is a top player. Try out the wedges with full bs, and go from there, around the greens and learn and chart the distances. I can promise you it will pay off big time. 

  You may also want to check out wgt caddy, it has helped my game tremendously.

  I'm at the same crossroads as you, Tyrone.  I'm also considering the "Max Spin" wedges, although I can't find any threads on them.  If anyone would like to chime in on the Max Spin's, please do!
