  I've been having some connection issues with WGT. The internet connection to WGT gets dropped (for only a few seconds at a time) the last few days. Since the game runs on having a constant connection, it is causing me to have to quit games, or get disqualified from games because of the disconnects.

   

  I did a thorough check of my internet connection and found it was not the problem. The connection to all other websites remains stable; ping gets dropped only to WGT, and this lasts from 3 to 8 seconds at a time.

  Anyone know of any solution?

  Try clearing your browser caches, or try a new browser.

  Hello all ,i had problem  loading  around 11 am Montreal time ,,,,,  its ok now . Speed of loading  and playing is back to normal for me ,

  Has anyone else noticed that the disconnects and loading problems are getting worse as the days go by?

  I've tried 4 different browsers over the last month and tonight my latest browser is showing all the same signs that the previous 3 have shown.

  This doesn't happen with any of the other internet apps i have access to, so i'm now beginning to form a fairly firm conclusion, that it's WGT which is the source problem.

  So many posts on here talk about clearing caches, new browsers, re-boot, etc. But none of it works long-term. Can I suggest that WGT now have so many players that their system setup just can't cope any more. I see no signs in their releases of any upgrades to their server farm or comms connections. Why not? they must realise that the interactions will eventually clog up.

  All I seem to get offered is bags and new outfits........please please please WGT focus on the major criticism from not just me but everyone I play with.......you need to sort this out and pronto!

  if anyone out there can resolve this I'll be amazed.....only WGT can do it, but its going to take some investment on their part......am I holding my breath waiting for that? .....no.

  Ive been experiencing this a lot lately too.  I use maxthon browser only for wgt and do clear cashe and all that on a very regular basis.  It seems to be happening in multiplayer games for me.  My wife also plays and a lot of the games we play together, it will happen to her too.   I usually play with members of my friends list and we reconnect and they say it happens to them also at the same time..  It will  happen sometimes up to 5 or 6 time per 18 holes. Other times there seems to be no problem whatsoever.

   It usually starts with one of the party getting disconnected then the restart and as soon as the tee-off button is hit ..it goes back into waiting for players to connect.  Then another member gets booted and we go through the whole process over again.

  I also live in a small town that had a grant provided to and the towns internet and cable TV and phone system is fiber optics, so for that we usually have very little problem with internet speed unless they are doing some sort of maintenance which they inform us before hand.

    Im not a computer guru so I cant honestly say whats causing it and wont throw blame randomly out there,  but just plain logic is telling me its most likely a flash issue (generically) or may be something with the game software or servers, or a combination of both. The reason I say that is because the only time I have issues are when Im on WGT in the play mode.

  welcome to the club i been getting the same thing during a game, the connection drops and usually i get the unexpected error try back later, that's after the the lost connection pop up window and retry 4-5 times. Yet i'm connected to the internet at 15 mbs. i can go to any other site with no problem, but takes about 3-4 minutes to get on wgt and it reads you were disqualified because you did not return in time. i start a new game and same thing happens 4-6 holes into the game. today i could get to home page but the play now button area, the entire square only loads part time.

  i am having the same issues , along with flash and shock wave crashes, i purchased a brand new MSI gaming computer because i thought something was wrong with me 3 year old hp and guess what, still having the same problem with my new computer, this thing is crazy fast but, still can't stay connected to wgt.
