    TarheelsRule:

Did you offer the other team the option to drop the game.

I try to be very careful when I start a game to make sure I can finish it but things do happend from time to time.   Most of the players that I have played with will agree to drop the game which penalizes no one and ends it quickly.

Making them wait 5 minutes in the lobby is bad sport.

This. That way it does not affect either team. However, if you were playing poorly or getting your butt kick, they might not have believed you. However, if I was in the same situation, I doubt I would start a thread to ask if I was in the right because I could care less what someones opinion is when I know I did the right thing, as you already knew prior to this thread.

I have not had to leave one yet, but may happen any time. If a player in a multi-player game needs to leave and explains, the opposing team should suggest to drop the game, it is in the menu. I have done this when opposing player needs to leave for what ever. Their are some that are nothing but spoiled brats who have no respect for anyone, not even their selves. You did what you felt was right, and I think it was. Someone wants to abuse me I will fight back.

Thanks Gator...I know I did the right thing and didn't care what he thought. The reason for my post was to ask if I did the right thing in posting on the guys wall or should I have let it go. I did see that no more than 30 min later he apparently cursed at a his partner & then quit the game because his partner was having a tough game. That guy also posted on his wall.

Thanks to everyone for their opinions.
