Stance changes, grip changes, position changes with respect to the ball, all combine to produce an angle of club path with respect to the center of the ball and an angle of club face with respect to the point of contact.
These can be reproduced to a first approximation with a fully movable dot. A better approach would be a fully movable dot with a ball also movable with respect to the ding line, which would be replaced with a ding cross-hair. One would represent point of contact and the other would represent spin applied. Consequently, anything from a push or pull to a slice or hook could be generated.
