My guess is the main point is the Legend Tier is overflowing and the advancement to Tour Legend comes at a snails pace. ( Kinda like all traffic on an Interstate traveling at 75mph and the speed limit suddenly becomes 25mph, the traffic gets severely crowded and backed up.) I have played some matches here and most of players that join my game are legends

I can understand to a degree. why a lot of Legends just give up and start all over again. Not to abuse (although some do) the system but actually to "enjoy" the sytem again.

    Just a thought anyway...

I understand you when enjoyment is easy 25s or credit-grabbing. I do enjoy my game, my Legend tier, my friends - it's come naturally to me.

Of course there are loads of better players in WGT and in my CC. Alas, why should I hide behind a new account and a faked "freshman" button? The fun is in my skills, not in playing hiding games!

    nerve60:
Ironically, as a Tour Master, I placed in several Tournies on the + side, even won once.

When you 1st entered the Tour Master tier i bet you couldn't compete with the better TM's. Well it's the same now. You need to spend your time bettering your game to move up within the Legend tier until you can compete. What you have to remember is all those top legends will soon enough be moved up to tour legend leaving your improving game to be able to compete once again.

    Last go at this.

I did notice a CC was advertising saying they had some handicap comp. in the pipeline?  I never read any more as very happy with my CC BUT if it is RGs the issue maybe some where like that might be able to accomodate you with something like it? On a micro level like some CCs perhaps can work it out fairly so that everything from averages through to equipment is allowed in to the equation, so that all can have a fair go? On a macro WGT tier level it is what it is ...........................and as said above people enter new tiers struggling but leave not struggling.  Tiers can encourage people to strive for more..................

Yessir, it cuts both ways...tougher to get to the top, but if you make it, you get to stick around for a while.

And pardon if my noobness to this game, and something is different then every other competitive game I have played.

But when you are playing a ladder game like this, or tiered game, the top tier will always be the most painful to be in because it will have the widest range of players in it.  Players will struggle to get to the top tier, then once they are there they will notice different tier's within the tier.  Splitting it won't be any different really, you will have people that try to get to what they consider the "top" then run into the same problem.

Really if you are a competitive person you should be wanting to play against the best, and if your not who really gives a damn about touney's.
