  Summary: Multi-Player 9-Stroke game; one player finishes and disconnects, game cannot be finished.

  Recipe:

  1) Start a multi-player game

  2) Select Stroke Play

  3) Select course (9-holes)

  4) Add one more player

  5) Play match until final hole

  6) On final hole, have the second player hole their shot

  7) Second player disconnects

  Result: Hosting player can resume game, but upon next shot, game crashes with apology note from WGT Management.

   

  Specifically:

  I was hosting a multi-player round with a friend, ranked stroke play on Congressional Back 9. We got to the final hole, and after the other player experienced a bad round, they quit upon sinking their final putt. I was directed to the Main Screen, and since the other player had finished their game, it did not wait for them to reconnect. I was automatically restarted (No need for me to click "Tee Off"), and left exactly where I was: -3 on hole 18, 1.1ft from the hole, next shot for Par on that hole. As soon as I clicked during the Swing meter return, the game would then "crash" with the apology screen from WGT Management. I am not going to try to purposefully attempt to reproduce.

  Yes, I was quite upset.

  Remember:

  It's but an online game, your and your family's lives will continue undisturbed.

  That said, 

  - players quit,

  - connections are shaky,

  - servers have a hiccup,

  - the game software seems overly(?) sensible to disturbances.

  IMHO, your "friend" caused the trouble with his unfriendly behaviour. Why not wait for the last putts of the partner or at least leave the game through the menu?

  It is not his quitting that I am concerned with or reporting. The issue is, very simply, that with a two person game, it appears that there may be a bug if one disconnects after completing the final hole before the other person is permitted to finish their game. 

  Besides my final sentence, there was no other mention of emotional distress, nor was there anything conveying me worrying that my and/or my family's lives would be disturbed. The other player's actions are of no concern either (though he did gift me a sleeve of balls with his apology), they were only described so as to provide more information to WGT as means of trying to reproduce what I experienced, and thus determine if it is in fact a bug. I thought this forum section was for posting bugs, not complaining about "bad games," "bad players" or other such things (as are not bugs).

  Thanks for the detailed report. I have seen a few of these and had experienced something like this as well. I have mentioned this to our engineers in past but I will ask them again.

  The problem is finding it, so it may take a while.

  Here it IS! my golfer freind , many many many golfer had put money on this , and it STILL called WGT BETA, periode. no answers no soloutions only MORE asking,pulling back some cources put them back later try some green FEE for older cources WHAT are u doing WGT?

  PUT the *** out so players can play without freeking meter problems + - some bug`s . fix the *** up.

   

  Still loggin in for hopes !

  I have had a problem with stroke play regularly in the past. Tonight I was playing a game with 2 better players than my self and doing well then the programme crashed and disconnected the other 2 players. The usual apology comes up on the screen but that does not make an enjoyable game worth starting. About time this problem was sorted once and for all WGT.
