For anyone thinking of joining a country club for the first time, or not happy with the club they are in, try the Yorkshire County Golf Club.

We have a wide range of friendly members of all abilities.

We run 20 stroke play and CCTH competitions at any time, half free entry, half with a small (usually 25cr) entry fee. There are tier based  competitions so players of all abilities have a chance of winning, and open competitions too. There is also an annual YCGC tour where all courses are played as standard golf tournaments with ranking points awarded for each tournament.

In addition there are also match play competitions within the club, for singles and pairs, and we also run a match play ladder, and play regular games against other clubs .

It is a friendly club with a lively club forum for discussing anything and everything.

Come and join us, you will find a warm welcome, and make some friends.

    Your quite right pdxdriver

the above named has been ousted from our great and very friendly club due to abusive remarks towards some members whom i know personally not just from here .

which ever club takes this person will realise that at 1st they seem ok then within a couple of weeks they will start to abuse fellow members if they dare to beat them

also on leaving the club it is reported that they left some not very nice remarks on the person who gives alot of time towards the club so it runs in a great and honourable manner

good riddance to bad rubbish i think the saying is !!!!

Please ignore comments from a former member removed for abusing fellow members.

We are really a very friendly group, and we would welcome some new members at the moment.

Whatever your ability, so long as you play fairly regularly you would find a happy home with us.
