Interesting reading as I have just elevated to Legend.

It looks as though my bag needs an entire overhaul.

If anyone is willing to give me advice on upgrading, I would welcome it too. Cheers.  Q

Clubs don't matter if you're only going to play the front 9 of St Andrews.

Good luck from the tips, you'll need it.

I don't agree that your bag needs an overhaul, you've solid clubs.

But if you wish to upgrade / change something:

First of all you need a solid 64° Wedge, since you have the starter one that won't get it done, I'd recommend the lvl 80+ Cleveland 64° as it is one of the best clubs in my bag, perfect for chip, pitch, flop around the green or punch / full for approch shots (be careful with the spin, don't hesitate to even use some top spin as it will stop deadly.)

Secondly, your Callaway Driver is pretty good and should easily be enough for Legend Tee's, however if you wish to add some yrds - lvl 81+ G20 280yrds Driver will do the job.

The R11s 3wood of yours is rather weak for Legend tee's, I'd recommend the lvl 81+ G20 240yrds 3wood once you hit lvl 81.

Most importantly (in my opinion): Your Irons.

The G20's will leave you in tough spots as you'll have to approach from long distance more often than short ones now, they don't have enough distance, loft nor spin.

I never tried the lvl 59 G20's of yours but I've rented the lvl 83+ G20's and was highly dissappointed compared to the Rocketbladez I own.

Thats why I'd highly recommend you the lvl 79+ Rocketbladez, they are awesome, good distance, nice spin and loft, they are 2nd only to the lvl 90+ R11's.

Hope I could help you out,

    regards

You are going to need clubs with loft .Once you get to lvl 81+ , you can get the upper level G20 driver and 3 wood . Also get the lvl 79+ Rocketbladez , and you should be good . All that will be left then , is picking a good ball . From there its just practice , practice , and more practice . Hope this helps .Happy Swinging

i would pick up a good 64 Wedge a get rid of that starter.....Next you need to  start playing other course's other than St Andy's...need to be a more well rounded player...

IMO you cant lose on the higher level G20, i also made legend early, but you can check my stats on driving pctg, its around 87%. It is very forgiveable, I tried the R11, unless you hit on the ding or very close, your in the rough, this game as i know it is fairways and greens, so i may have a little longer in distance to the pin, but i am in the short grass. Got to wait till Level 94 to check out the R11s, it may be better.

I completely agree about the G20 over the R11 ,  i have both but only ever play the G20 , the R11 is very unforgiving , my driving accuray  is just over 89% , i know for a fact with the R11 it would be significantly lower .

My average is now saturated so i've played over 500 rounds at legend with both G20's , also waiting till level 94 but happy to plod on with the G20 for now .

I agree, sure higher trajectory irons will help a little and driving further always helps from the tips, but the front 9 at St Andrews has little elevation changes so the benefits will be marginal. Dump the starters + wedge would have more benefit and save you credits.

If you decide to play other courses, then yes upgrade. How you do not get bored playing 1 nine so often bewilders me.

Thnx for the advice to you all.

I'll switch to the Level 79  TM Rocketbladez to get me the loft and domp the starter + wedge.,
