LEGEND LVL 85 DRIVER PROBLEM

  hi all,,,ive just turned legend,,,but because im only lvl 85..im stuck for a long yardage driver..

  now im on the back tees,i need a bigger bat...i think there should be a driver for your tier & not your level...as im stuggling alittle now..most holes im coming into greens from 180-190 + yards...hard work to get close to the pin...

  WHY cant we have a driver available for legends+ ..... as im doomed untill i level up...in which is gona be a while.......

  any thoughts ????

  The G20 is a great driver I'm sure you'll cope, you just need to be more accurate with your approach shots. I made Legend lower than you and I soon got the hang of it. Good luck.

  DOOMED lol, Nah you are fine looked at your set up its just in your head. There have been pleanty of Legends that have done very well with your set-up. The back tees are more challanging. No more drive & wedge to green. No clubs avalible are going to give you that. Get use to the challange and eventually all will be well.

  Gratz on advancing, a few more level up and you can get a bigger driver but I would suggest waiting til you can get the higher level R-11s as that is a nice club.

  i'm a legend and almost level 92, i still use the upper G20 driver with no real problem, i have made comments in threads regarding the issue of tiered clubs, especially the level 94 R11s.

  Used with decent balls you wont have a problem

  I made legend at 73 or 74, it is a struggle with approaches from 180+ but it is what it is.    I would love tier specific clubs, I would also like to see this game grow out of using a browser that has bugs and into a real game engine.  But you have to deal with what you have.

  Agreed with all posts. I made legend at around lvl 70 as well and have been pressing on with the baby g20s for  what seems like an eternity.  Today I advance to 83 and will make my decision on what clubs to buy, but I am looking forward to having your driver, when i get it.  The R11 from what I remember only adds a few more yards.  You might try using a balls with a little bit more of a distance rating if you can afford to.  Also with those irons the long approaches are manageable.  I rented the bladez and if i remember correctly there were a handful of shots where I stuck a 220 yard 3iron inside 2 yards because of the spin and trajectory they have.

  Try renting the baby g20s and playing a starter ball from the tips.  Now that is interesting.  I have had  ahandful of 230+ yard approaches.  Those are fun.  lol

  IMO you cant lose on the higher level G20, i also made legend early, but you can check my stats on driving pctg, its around 87%. It is very forgiveable, I tried the R11, unless you hit on the ding or very close, your in the rough, this game as i know it is fairways and greens, so i may have a little longer in distance to the pin, but i am in the short grass. Got to wait till Level 94 to check out the R11s, it may be better.

  The S is certainly a much more forgiving driver but from level 88 to 94 will take a loooong time unless you play 10 rounds a day.   I got on fine with the original R11, it was only when the S came along that it seemed hard to manage in comparison.

  Congrats on getting there, enjoy the car park tees.  it seems pretty difficult when you start out but your scores will soon start dropping again.

  I've got the upper level  G20 woods and irons. I'm playing just fine from the tips so the gear in your bag will be fine as well. You also have higher quality wedges than I use. They'll serve you well. You've been Legend only about 2 weeks. Keeps in mind your average won't saturate until you play 500 ranked rounds at Legend Tier. Ignore your average at this point and finish every round you start. It's gonna be a while anyway so just enjoy it.

  Loads of  threads on drivers / other clubs not being available soon enough, and so not opening that 1 up here.

  HL G20 woods are good clubs.

  Noticed you "now" have the L79 Bladez which I would agree is a good move.....They stick well and the extra distance on the 3 iron v handy.  some say the PW leaves too big a gap but I never found that with it's 108 yard punch thrown in. The wedges you have will also stand you in good stead.................You may consider the R11 3 wood / Driver (latter in time).  Most agree the R11 3 wood will stick better and IMHO the R11 driver is just about worth while over the G20. Again though the G20 stuff is V good, and some will say the G20 3 wood is the best.......

  You have good enough equipment to get very acquainted with the tips. Enjoy!
