I've played all three sets (including the L59 G20 irons you play now).

The Srixon balls with 2 dots of feel worked well for me with the RB irons' fast meter. The meter has to be operating smooth as butter for me to use the Srixon with the R11 irons.

The R11 irons - which I have loved since the day I got 'em - work best for me coupled with a ball that has 3 to 3-1/2 dots of feel. The Nike L81 RZN ball is a dream in all aspects...but 550 credits/sleeve. The L48 Nike XIX is a very, very good ball with the RB & R11 irons. 400 credits/sleeve puts them off your list, however.

I've played six or so practice rounds with the R11 irons using the WGT B-XD ball. A true bargain at 10 credits/sleeve. I was able to shoot under par every round, but I'm not capable of threatening 30 without slowing the meter some.

The length, spin, precision, & forgiveness of the R11 irons are quite remarkable. It's almost embarrassing how good they are compared to all other club sets, RB irons included. That's my experience, for what it's worth.

    Good luck to you!

Whatever you do don't spend your credit on new expensive balls. I've just purchased 3 Nike 20X1-X balls for 500 credits and within 3 rounds they have all gone, now don't get me wrong i'm no hack and after playing the front 9 at Kiawah dozens of times i can honestly say i've never lost a ball there until i purchased these and lo and behold on the second hole par 5 second shot out of 25-30% first cut hit it ok and WHAT, in the weeds = lost ball !!! you must be having a laugh. It has also done this for the other two balls on other courses, ok shot, hit tree, in weeds, lost ball. I mean come on i've never hit a tree since i was a hack and now at master level 75? I don't seem to go in weeds, hit trees with free ball.

So just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or am i being paranoid, one things for sure i'll not be wasting my credits on balls!!

Hey, Doc. Taking a chance on jinxing myself here...I play L48 & L81 Nike balls and haven't lost one in more than a month.

When I have lost a ball it has been in the the pond to the right of the green on a Par 5 on Congressional. I was playing RocketBladez irons until recently and the 3-iron, played with full backspin, was very much lacking in forgiveness. Miss the ding by more than a smidgen and - kerplunk!

There's also the gorse on a couple drives at St. Andrews that can gobble up a ball. I've learned to avoid those bushes.

    Good luck!
