  Is there any stat to know the extra distance gain with each dot with each type of ball?.

  I know the question is not easy to answer, but a general idea could help a lot.

  For instance, do you gain the same distance with each kind of ball?.

  Im not sure but i think it is marginal at best, my 33 cals i use for tournaments have 3 dots and my toursd i use for stroke play have 2, no noticeable different in distance to me.

  I think its about 1 yd per dot.  Certainly not more than 2.

  Well, nowadays I'm playing with a 2-dot distance ball and it seems to me that the gain from the tee is about 10-12 yards. The balls are the Tour-SD.

  Wind, landing spot elevation, landing spot  shape (flat, uphill.downhill), landing spot type (fairway, rough,green), ball spin control dot placement, club brand/type, shot type, golf course, Ding! accuracy, and differences in ball construction all affect shot distance.

  For instance a 9° driver will hit the same ball a different distance, all other factors being =, than a 10.5° driver of the same brand will.

  One more dot will add the most distance when hit with a driver, and may not add any distance when hit with a 64° wedge. 

  FWIW , the number I want to know is how far a ball flies in the air. No doubt wind affects that number to some extent.

  From that I adjust for the above factors because those above factors all determine how much the ball rolls after landing.

  To get the most distance out of the ball and driver I use, I typicallyadd a slight bit of top or backspin.

  I find the distance dots for each ball type to provide a percentage of extra distance rather than a set yardage, and this percentage can be affected by wind, spin, hit/miss ding, etc. I do not have exact numbers, nor do I claim that my experiences are, will, or could mirror anyone else's. 

  I have been taking advantage of a no wind tournament to try different balls (starter, WGT SD, Callaway L33 i-S, Nike L48, and Nike L71). My driver benefits most, with 20-30yds more (might be more, cannot recall, was a few weeks ago) from the Nike L71 over the starters. However, with a Cleveland 64 degree L80, the benefit is only a few yards at best. With my putter, it can be a foot, or several inches, which can make a difference with critical putts on faster greens (tournament 2 here). I can actually have fun with starter balls, but the Nike L71 balls just translate best for me.
