    DaddysKat:
So while your statement is more than likely true to the masses, I simply won't settle for inferior equipment along the way.  I will hold out for the clubs I want!

First off the balls............maybe yes and without the figures..........I do not think it's the big one for this argument.

The quote. I getcha but again we do not have the numbers you will accept that and as you said the masses, and I don't have the fo chats to exactly tell - not being funny either.  The masses is obviously where the income is at and any "sugar boost" to that maybe only that - again no numbers.  Trust me I was as pi$$sed as anyone not having the best for so long (or as it seemed). Heck they still won't let me get a really top driver. Remember though that the levels do get much farther apart for you now............Personally for you I would recommend (credits permitting) the L79 Bladez as they really are v good, and the HL G20 driver when you get there.......Have a look how far the levels get apart before you dismiss.........Anyway I am no great shakes but If I am green hit me up for a round and we can shoot the breeze / I can maybe at least give the odd "from the tips" initial tips..well maybe lol....If I can make TL then by the sounds of it you will do it in a breeze.....:)

Blah blah blah. All i hear is how you cant compete without the best driver. On 2 occasions now i've forgot to put my driver in the bag after taking it out to play the par 3 course. Without my driver i shot 58 on the Best of Famous and 59 at Whistler.

You're just gonna have to slog it out and get through the levels like the rest of us did.

Never said I can't compete without the best driver ... just said clubs should be released based on tier or level.

No worries ... the day will come when I will get the clubs I want ... and until then, I will play the course utilizing good course management.

It will remain Level based - a sales thing! Maybe a new tier to allow the inability to compete gripe to go away is something to consider.  WGT have the numbers on critical mass.........

    +1

Clubs are level based for one reason alone - sales. WGT moved away from tiered based clubs years ago as the current system generates more revenue. Therefore it is not discerning what tier you are, as long as it maximises sales.

I do not advocate that this system is fair, and personally would prefer a level AND tier based system .The more you play, the greater the reward in the selection of clubs, provided you do tier up.

Now many lower level legends will moan and say they would buy the New driver - and yes they probably would, however if WGT sell them this driver now - they miss out on at least one upgrade, possibly two.

Sadly there will always be some that just miss out but the line has to be drawn ib the sand somewhere. In this case I am sure WGT has crunched their numbers and said level 93 is the optimum level to get the players late level 92-97 to spend, while the players below that will invariably have to upgrade anyway.

    Smart business sense IMO.

WGT assure me that the limited edition club will not be moving below level 93.

The problem with low level Legends...actually I should say a problem they have, is in the past 1.5 to 2 years the lower levels have had access to much better equipment and balls than were available...club and balls that cold toss darts etc...now the "fun" is over and those who can't get top clubs are finding it difficult to play 3/4 irons or 3 woods into par 4's

I was kinda conditioned into it..playing G10's and TourSD balls...even to qualify for the Open at CCC two years ago.

You can play well with level 60-ish and up clubs and even keep you in the black in RG's as it's just you and the course...my issue (why I upgraded) at the time I was playing a lot of MP...and was discouraged being out driven and watching my opponent tossing darts  into the green, just took me off my game, so to speak.

I guess what I'm saying, it's not the arrow, it's the Indian.

Oh...and Darren cheats...tis why he can pull off a 58 without a driver;)

Or, Keep all the club levels the same , but the max distances on the clubs are tier based, so you get the clubs you want but not the full distances till reach x tier.

    Makes every one happy.

I have always felt that lvl only show how much you play, not what your skill is, and whith that in mind clubs should be based on what tier you are and not how many hours you need to spend!! A low-lvl-legend should have access to all clubs and balls in proshop. The levelsystem just feed more sanbaggers they wont try tier up before they can get the best gear. Some players play for credits, i never do, but let them do it its a free world we live in! But when they win they should get the prize they deserve on tier up in skinwins!

Well it was my opinion, what i think it should be, i know wgt would loose a bit on the best players, cause they move up fast, but still i think the newcoming players wouldnt start spectaculate in how many hours it take to get better gear, but start spend $$ when they get next tee!
